Cutting Instructions

Step 1: Gather: one 4-1/4” Fabric A squarefour 1-3/4” Fabric A squaresfour 1-3/4” x 3” Fabric A rectanglesfour 1-3/4” x 4-1/4” Fabric A rectanglesfour 1-3/4” Fabric F squaresfour 1-3/4” x 3” Fabric F rectanglesfour 1-3/4” x 2-3/8” Fabric G rectanglesfour 1-3/4” x 3-5/8” Fabric G rectanglesfour 1-3/4” x 3” Fabric E rectanglesfour 1-3/4” x 4-1/4” Fabric E rectangles

Arrange the units as shown. Note the fabric placement in the Block Assembly Diagram.

Assemble the Block 1 Units

Step 2: Sew 1-3/4” Fabric F squares to opposite sides of a 1-3/4” Fabric A square. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this. Sew the units to opposite sides of the 4-1/4” Fabric A Square. Press.Step 3: Sew 1-3/4” x 3” Fabric F rectangles to opposite sides of a 1-3/4” Fabric A square. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this. Sew the units to the remaining edges of the 4-1/4” Fabric A Square. Press.

Step 4: Sew 1-3/4” x 2-3/8” Fabric G rectangles to opposite sides of a 1-3/4” x 3” Fabric A rectangle. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this. Sew the units to left and right edges of the block unit. Press.

Step 5: Sew 1-3/4” x 3-5/8” Fabric G rectangles to opposite sides of a 1-3/4” x 3” Fabric A rectangle. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this. Sew the units to top and bottom edges of the block unit. Press.

Step 6: Sew 1-3/4” x 3” Fabric E rectangles to opposite sides of a 1-3/4” x 4-1/4” Fabric A rectangle. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this. Sew the units to left and right edges of the block unit. Press.

Step 7: Sew 1-3/4” x 4-1/4” Fabric E rectangles to opposite sides of a 1-3/4” x 4-1/4” Fabric A rectangle. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this. Sew the units to top and bottom edges of the block unit. Press.

The Block 1 unit should measure 11-3/4” square. Repeat Steps 1-7 to make six Block 1 units.

Step 9: Sew the Block 2 unit together using the process shown in Steps 1-7. Repeat to make fourteen Block 2 units.

Step 11: Sew the Block 3 unit together using the process shown in Steps 1-7. Repeat to make ten Block 3 units.

Assemble the Quilt

Step 12: Arrange the blocks into six rows of five blocks. Note the block placement in the Quilt Assembly Diagram.

Step 13: Sew the blocks together to form rows. Press the rows to the left in the odd numbered rows and to the right in the even numbered rows.

Step 14: Sew the rows together to form the quilt center. Press the row seams open.

Your quilt top is complete! Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy!
