【明報專訊】城市大學今年取錄 193 名內地本科生，當中一人屬海南省尖子，於 當地高考取得 897 分，接近 900 分滿分。城大校長張信剛表示，本 年取錄的內地生質素極佳，有助推動大學國際化。參與全國高校統一招生 城大今年首次透過「全國普通高校統一招生計劃」（簡稱統招）於內地 17個省市招生，獲取錄學生主要來自北京、浙江、江蘇、廣東、上海和福建。逾半數內地生的高考成績超出當地重點大學取錄分數線 50 至 100 分，張信剛表示，由於招生反應理想，明年會繼續參加「統招」，暫時無意在內地自行招生。海南省尖子高考近滿分 來自海南的李洋於當地高考取得 897 分，近乎 900 分滿分，獲城大頒發「狀元獎學金」 44 萬元。入讀城大商學院的李洋表示，欣賞本港大學具國際視野和學術發展前景，父母亦支持他來港升學。內地生料有助負笈海外 來自天津的魏金金看好內地法律專業的發展前景，故入讀城大法律學院。魏金金表示，內地愈來愈重視法治，對法律人才需求殷切﹔她又欣賞香港是一個法治社會，認為來港攻讀法律將獲益良多，亦有助日後負笈海外深造。

選科如選妻 蘇格拉底有妙法 文﹕趙榮德 【明報專訊】文章日期： 2005 年 3 月 10 日

最近在報章讀到古代哲人蘇格拉底教人選 妻的故事。「選妻便像選最佳的麥穗。」他對學生說，「你們做個實驗。去田野選一棵最大的麥穗回來，只有一次機會，而且不能走回頭路。」第一個學生，見到一株漂亮的麥穗就不加思索摘下來，結果沿途見到更大、更漂亮的，已經無法再摘﹔第二個、第三個學生也是「見好即收」，立即採摘。最後一名比較聰明的學生，想出一個比較科學的方法。他首先在頭三分之一段路程仔細觀察，將麥穗分為大、中、小三類，再在中間三分之一段路途驗證，然後在尾三分之一段路途挑出屬於最大類的一棵麥穗。這個方法雖然不能保證選到整個麥田中最大的一棵，但肯定取得比較令人滿意的結果（假設大中小三類麥穗平均分配在麥田上）。

改良版﹕ 532 選科公式

當然，有人相信姻緣是緣分，用蘇格拉底的方法行不通﹔更何，相傳他的妻子是著名「河東獅」，而他因不斷閉目沉思才成一大哲人。不過，把蘇格拉底的選妻法改良一下，用來作「聯招選科」也未嘗不可。

我的方法名為「 532 選科公式」，方法是實力佔 5 分，興趣佔 3 分，市場佔 2 分﹔ 70 分以上放進 Band A ，以下的便放進 Band B 。

實力興趣市場作標準

「實力」怎樣計算呢﹖用自己學校和會考的成績來計算，例如某學生報讀醫科，該科重視化學，他化學取 A ，則實力有 10 分，即 10×5=50 分。

「興趣」又怎樣計算呢﹖用自己對該科熱愛程度來評分，夢寐以求的當然是 10 分，憎惡欲絕的便是 0 分，如果該學生十分喜愛醫科，分數便是 10×3 分 =30 分。

「市場」是指社會的人力需求，現時香港對醫生需求仍大，給它 7分， 7×2 便是 14 分。

用「 532 選科公式」把 3項分數加起來便是 50+30+14=94 分，有這個分數，不用說也會把它放在 Band A了。

實際上，不一定每名成績優良的中七生喜歡選醫科，港大教務長韋永庚便在我校說了一個真實故事。有一次，他與其他醫學院教授一起面試中七生，其中一名品學兼優的學生甫進來便對面試官說﹕「我的父母在門外，但我希望你們能幫我一個忙……請你們不要取錄我﹗我對醫科完全沒有興趣。」

是的，除非你有興趣懸壺濟世，為世人除疾苦，否則，千萬別選一個你不喜歡的科目。
