What is SLICK?
SLICK is a six-week, intensive language therapy program for children who have language and learning disorders.
The camp is for children who have finished 1st grade through children who have finished 6th grade.
Our mission is to provide a fun learning environment and to build children’s language skills through literacy-based activities.
The SLICK Program:
• is developed by speech-languagepathologists that tailor therapy toeach child’s individual needs;
• addresses language goalssuch as following directions,listening comprehension, readingcomprehension, vocabulary,identifying the main idea,summarizing and problem solving;
• incorporates each child’s goals intoevery part of the day;
• is run by UT Dallas graduatestudents under the supervisionof licensed speech-languagepathologists.

Large group activities each day will focus on listening comprehension, narrative development, executive skills, and vocabulary-building in the context of shared reading interactions and curriculum-related activities.
Small Group TherapyTwo 30-minute therapy sessions each day will focus on children’s selected language goals with a clinician.
Evaluation Requirement
An intake assessment is required for all new patients. The cost of the intake is $50 and is not insurance eligible. To schedule an assessment, please call the Richardson location at 972-883-3630.
