A Message From Our Pastor. Dear Friends, As the French poet Antoine de St. Exupery said, “One risks tears if he is willing to let himself love.” In the first reading from the prophet Jeremiah writes about this despair of those who were friends who have now turned on him. In the Gospel reading from St. Matthew, Jesus says “fear no one”. Whoever loves the Lord doesn’t need to fear anyone's opinion or gossip. And yet, we get so obsessed with he said, what she said about him. Who cares? God knows the truth. God has counted the hairs on our head. God knows when one sparrow falls from the sky. If we can trust what we say we believe, then we have no reason for fear. “Fear no one”, that’s what Jesus said and that’s what we remember today.

That lack of fear gives us freedom. That freedom from fear makes us trust and that trust in God is all we need. As long as we are human we will have our human faults, our human motivations can easily be misinterpreted. Those misinterpretations can end a friendship or maybe it can be corrected and the friendship renewed. Don’t hold resentments, but don’t give others the power over you. “Fear no one”. Live in the freedom of knowing that your heavenly Father knows the truth and loves you just as you are. May God bless you all, Father Bob Bruso

Judy Gariepy who has been our parish bookkeeper/secretary for the past seventeen years has decided she would like to re re and enjoy more me with her husband Steve. OUR LADY, HEALTH OF THE SICK, PRAY FOR US

Please pray for those who are ill, especially:

Deacon Ronald Aubuchon, Claire Babineau,

Anselma Geronimo, Gine e LeBlanc,

Job Turini, Riley Wa s and Fr. Bob Bruso.

If you know someone who needs prayers, call the rectory or email us at

[email protected] and we will add them to our list for a month.

The pandemic has halted and altered the way that we do things, and we had to postpone celebrating special sacraments with the children and young adults who were preparing to receive the sacraments of Communion and Confirmation.

On Father's Day we have the pleasure at the 11:15 Mass to share in the delight of watching our Confirmation candidates be

confirmed. Please welcome and pray for our candidates as they make the choice to continue their faith journey in the Catholic church.

Next Sunday we will be celebrating the sacrament of First Communion with our children at the 11:15 AM Mass.

Memo from First Concern PRC We are extending the duration of the Virtual Baby Bottle Drive. Have you contributed to First Concern’s Baby Bottle Drive in the past? The spare change collected from all of those who took a baby bottle added up fast and your support helped the Center raise over $25,000 last year. This year, due to the disruption in masses, the Center is asking that all who would like to participate give online or mail a donation directly to the Center. Please consider filling a “virtual baby bottle” as you would have a plastic bottle by making a gift of any size. About $30 buys a box of diapers, $80 covers a month of Earn While You Learn Education, and $100 can help out towards a client’s first month of services. There are three ways in which you can give. You can continue to fill the baby bottle, you can make a donation by visiting www.firstconcern.org and click on the “Virtual Baby Bottle Drive” tab or you can also mail in a donation to: 46 High Street, Clinton, MA 01510. Please be sure to indicate the donation is for the Baby Bottle Drive. We hope to make this year’s drive successful and surpass what we raised last year. Thank you in advance for your encouragement and support! With you, for LIFE -- First Concern Staff & Board of Directors

Religious Freedom Week will be celebrated in dioceses nationwide

from June 22 to June 29.

Throughout the week we will focus on the importance of preserving the essential right of religious freedom, both now and in the future, for Catholics and all people of faith. This year’s theme is “For the Good of All”. The significant feast days during the week (Saints Thomas More and John Fisher –

June 22, Saint John the Baptist – June 24, and Saints Peter and Paul – June 29) inspire us to follow the example of these great saints who loved God above all and remained faithful in the face of adversity. Please visit www.usccb.org/ReligiousFreedomWeek to download the “Pray-Reflect-Act” one-pagers for each day on various religious liberty topics. These excellent resources are intended to inspire us to learn more about religious liberty from a Catholic perspective, help us to pray about particular issues, and provide us with tools to act on what we learn. Additional information can be found at www.worcesterdiocese.org/religiousfreedomweek.
