Crisil Projects India’s GDP Growth for FY22 to 9.5%

Highlights

• The domestic credit rating agency Crisil has revised the GDP growth estimate for India in FY22 (2021-22) to 9.5

percent, from the earlier estimate of 11 percent.

• As per CRISIL, the economy had contracted by 7.3 percent in FY21.

• The downward revision is basically due to the hit to private consumption and investments following the second

wave of COVID-19.
