CYCLIC MEDITATION
Evening class begins at Café Lomas
Health & Wellbeing Centre,
Stratford Hospital, Arden Street
CV37 6NX on Tuesday 19th June
2018 at 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Using alternating stimulation and
relaxation, Cyclic Meditation allows the body
and mind to go deeper into silence by
incorporating simple yoga postures as well as
sound and visual stimulations.
Give yourself the opportunity to find a deeper
relaxation and feel the benefits in both your
productivity and sleep.
This course is being run in association with the
Health & Wellbeing Centre as part of a mindful
afternoon for which there is a special price of
£25.00 for four-week course or
£7.50 at the door.
CYCLIC MEDITATION CLASSES TO BRING CALM TO A BUSY MIND AND
PRODUCTIVITY TO A TIRED BODY
[There is currently no facility for card payments at the
Centre, please bring cash]. For more information or to
book contact [email protected] Wear comfy clothes and bring a yoga mat. If you
have difficulty lying on the floor or sitting bring a
cushion.
For those that really cannot be on the floor, the
use of a chair is permitted, so you can still join the
class and feel the benefits.
There will be spare mats available.
In studies, 35 minutes of cyclic meditation has
been shown to give 3 times more rest than 8
hours sleep. In addition, it alters levels of
stress hormones in the body having a positive
impact on your metabolic rate. This can be a
great supplementary way of reducing weight
as well as stress, when combined with healthy
eating and physical exercise. The technique is
developed and taught courtesy of
SVYASA University, India, where the
research laboratories have
measured body parameters to show
the benefits of yoga and meditation.

I will be available at the Pharmacy situated in the Café to
answer any questions you may have regarding:
Medicines: benefits, indications, contra-indications,
side-effects, interactions with herbal products, and
Meditation: techniques to reduce the stress
chemicals of the body that may interfere with your
medicines or worsen your condition.
Understanding the mechanisms that help your body heal
from the inside, and how that may require both medicines
and meditation to give a combined effort to enhance your
health and wellbeing.
The Café Lomas Health & Wellbeing Centre is joining
forces with other information services, including
Macmillan, Vision Support, Library Services and
PharmAveda to provide a series of events in Stratford-
Upon-Avon for you to find the information you need
related to Health & Wellbeing.
Tuesday 3rd, Thursday 5th & Friday 6th July between
2.30-4.30pm.

MEDICATION AND
MEDITATION
Currently we are exploring various
options to bring some of our
innovative services closer to you. In
the near future I hope to share more
with you about Integrated Medicine &
Yoga Therapy Optimisation of Health,
for those with chronic or long-term
conditions and those that are fit and
healthy.
The key to longevity is to embrace
health before something goes wrong
and this requires attention and
commitment.
I have already submitted plans for a
Yoga Intervention for Diabetes to the
NHS and I await to hear an outcome
for the proposal.
A Stress Relieving Course is also in the
making and will have the power to
change your body chemistry and
mind’s tenacity.
