June 2015
Please note that we now have someone running for President. We have an opening for Vice– President so you might like to consider running for this office. The slate of nominees is print-ed just to the left of this message. Voting will take place at our June meeting which is June 13th at the Blind Center.
Reminder that the June refreshments are potluck. Please bring something nice and simple and good to eat. Plan for about 10 people each and we should have plenty to go round.
Also bring your projects to share for Show and Tell.

WANTED
We are looking for busy elves to whip up about 120 small penny pouches, to be donat-
ed as Guild favors to IWC. As of the week ending April 25, 2015, we have collected about 80 penny pouches made by very tal-
ented crafters of our guild. The Las Vegas Fiber Arts Guild has been making vari-ous favors for the last few Intermountain Weavers Conferences, and they are really treasured by conference participants! Do you remember the pin cushions for the 2013 conference? They were marvelous! Thank you so much. We have pin backs to attach to the pouches.
Donations for IWC Raffle Basket
We are still looking for donations for the Intermountain Weavers Conference (IWC) raffle basket.
The 2015 IWC basket is being made by Nancy Belian’s son Donavan. Our guild has been a strong
supporter of the auction baskets for past conferences. The theme for this basket is SPINNING.
If you have nice spinning fiber, yarns for weaving or knitting, books, fiber tools, books or other
goodies to spare, please bring it to the guild meeting.
