June 2013 Laudable An evening of elegance and acknowledgment Over $18,500 Raised 14th Annual Salute to Londoners April 23, 2013 marked the 14th Annual Salute to Laudable Londoners—this year shining the spotlight on Bob and Shelly Siskind. The London Hunt and Country Club was once again the seƫng of an evening which saw a full house come together to celebrate this great couple. Well known in various circles in London as a gracious and philanthropic couple Bob and Shelly have spent years giving of their Ɵme and resources while serving on the boards of many community and organizaƟonal commiƩees throughout the city. Bill Brady, rst recipient along with his wife Mary Ann, of the Laudable Londoners Ɵtle and MC of nearly every Laudable event thereaŌer, welcomed the crowd and kept everyone on the edge of their seats with razor-sharp humor and insights. Mary Beth Drake and Doug Alexander, long Ɵme friends of the Siskinds, reected with fond memories on many of their stories accumulated in the years of friendship with Shelly and Bob respecƟvely. The Siskind daughters, Cathy Siskind- Kelly and Heather Levite took to the podium together and on behalf of their brother Michael, gave an insighƞul and hearƞelt peek at what growing up with such well-travelled and philanthropic parents meant to them. Gary Jazey, President of ParƟcipaƟon House FoundaƟon thanked all aƩendees for their generosity and unveiled the ParƟcipaƟon House video to the audience—a brief montage highlighƟng the services, vision, mission and needs of ParƟcipaƟon House, starring supported individuals, their families and sta. 2013 also marks the 25th anniversary of ParƟcipaƟon House Support Services - since its humble beginnings as a group of parents began to lobby for supports for their sons and daughters, to a thriving agency with 51 locaƟons within London and Area and 350 staproviding support and care to the over 150 individuals who call ParƟcipaƟon House home. It is on behalf of these amazing individuals that we extend our most hearƞelt thanks to everyone who not only helped us honour Bob and Shelly for all that they do within the enƟre London community, but contributed to our great cause as well. LondonersApril 23, 2013 marked the 14th Annual Salute to Laudable Londoners—this year shining the spotlight on Bob and Shelly Siskind.
