    Visiting the LivingSprings Faith

PARTNERING TO BRING THEGOOD NEWS OF JESUS

    CHRIST

Thank you for keeping Pastor Sam Brooks in

prayer as he traveled to different parts of South

Africa supporting the efforts of Gabriel and

Deborah Fabules and Living Springs Faith

Ministry. His travels began with a short delay

in flights here in the States, but we know that

Gods timing is perfect and Proverbs 19:21

tells us that In his heart a man plans his

course, but the LORD determines his steps.

So, we praise God that he has landed safely

there, ministered, and returned safely home.

Praise God for what He accomplished in and

through Pastor Sam. We look forward to

hearing of the provision of daily divine

appointments and hope that he has returned

strengthened, encouraged, and refreshed in the

    Lord Jesus Christ.

    As Pastor Sam announced and

explained in the service on Sunday,

May 20th, we will be switching our

service times during the summer. This

is being done in an effort to align our

sequence of events with our ubiquitous

symbol of know, grow, and serve. This

will offer the opportunity for guests to

be invited and more easily engage in

our small groups, also known as

    Connect.

It is in our Worship Service where

we come to know Truth. It is in our

Connect groups that we are challenged

relationally to walk it out and apply

that Truth to our lives - to grow in it.

Connect is a place where we get to

fellowship with other believers, supportone another in our walks with the

Lord, pray for each other, and

encourage one another on a weekly

    basis.

    The Flip Flop provides those

who attend our Connect groups the

chance to say, Hi. If you dont have

plans now, would you be interested in

joining me in my bible study class. I am

headed there now and would love to

have you walk over and join us. These

    invitations may be happening already,

but they require our guests to

remember it the following Sunday, and

have the courage to walk in to an

unfamiliar small group on their own.

From the small group study, there-

in lies a very natural opportunity for

those who are able and interested to

offer them into their home for lunch or

to join them out. Hopefully, this

    summer will facilitate a smoother

    movement of individuals and families,

alike, into and through our cycle of

    discipleship.

Here we are: June, 2012. As I

was driving around, I saw a

    church marquee that stated,

    God deserves our very best.

    My mind immediately started

    thinking of the scripture in

    Psalms:

Behold, thou hast mademy days as a

    handbreadth; and mine

    age is as nothing before

    thee: verily every man at

    his best state is

    altogether vanity. Selah.

    Psalm 39:5

Thats every man at his BEST!

    Then the writer caps the

statement ofwith Selah(pause and think calmly of

    that), which continues to

point me to the life of Christ.

To know that John 15 tells us,

Apart from Me you can do

    nothing, makes me realize

that if our best was ever good

    enough, then Christ died

needlessly. If you are found in

    Christ, you are a newcreature.

    "I have been crucified

with Christ; and it is no

    longer I who live, but

    Christ lives in me; and

    thelifewhich I now live

in the flesh, I live by faith

in the Son of God, who

loved me and gaveHimself up for me. Gal

    2:20

    My mind also recalled:

    esus told them,"This is

    the only work God wants

    from you: Believe in the

    one he has sent." John

    6:29

The only work Godwants from you. Inlight of all this, letsnot give God our verybest. But, instead, lets allow Gods best(Jesus Christ) to live

    His life through us.

    F o r t h o s e w h o a r eunaware, Gospel for Asia is an

    organization that The Open

    Door supports. A portion of

your tithe goes to supportoverseas missions throughout

Asia. So as you read the

    following excerpt from a letter

    written by the Founder &

    President of the organization,

you can know that you, too,

    have helped to make these

    stories possible.

K.P. Yohannan writes to usin thanks for our financial

support of Gospel for Asia. In

    his letter, he includes a

    t e s t i m o n y o f a G F A -

    supported missionary named

    H ansha l . H ansha l w as

    saddened by what he saw

when he stepped into houseafter house. In this poor,

    remote village, many people

    were suffering from serious

    illnesses. The scarcity of food

    and the unhygienic living

    conditions made them prone

to falling sick, and the great

    distance between the village

and the nearest hospital keptthem from getting better.

    Instead, all of the villagers

    turned to witch doctors for

    healing.

    As Hanshal began sharing

the love of Christ, he met 65-

    year-old Tarakesh, who had 9

    family members who were

    sick. They all trembled greatly,

    they couldnt eat very much,

and they were too weak to

    hold anything in their hands.

    When Hanshal offered to pray

    for them, Tarakesh was

resistant, for he himself was a

    respected sorcerer. Yet the

Lord touched his heart, andhe agreed.

    Tarakesh gathered his nine

    sick family members in one

    room, and while Hanshal

prayed, the Lord did what the

    sorcerer couldnt do: He

    hea led Tarakesh s s i ck

relatives. In an instant, they all

    stopped trembling.Through this miracle,

    Tarakesh and his family

    entrusted themselves to Jesus!

T hey began ga ther ing

    together for worship services,

    and through those services,

    many other villagers were

de l i ve red f rom dem on

    possession. Now, in this village

where no one had known the

love of Christ, more than 29

    people gather for worship

    each Sunday! Praise the Lord!

    Our God is working

    mightily. Thank you for being

    a part of it.
