We’ve talked a lot this year about the new energy and “joyful noise” campaigns we want to promote around here. After years of hard economic times,

one of the key items on our agenda is to focus on the POSITIVE attributes of

Madison County.

So let’s talk about something close to our home at the Flagship Enterprise

Center.

In a new-century twist on Madison County’s “energetic” past, several fast-moving technology and energy related companies are growing up right here

in Madison County.

Decades ago this area began its story as a hotbed of electrical innovations — especially innovative improvements — taking something that isn’t working well and making it phenomenal. Enter the maintenance free battery by the Remy Brothers, the roots for the EV1 and the IBOT, headlight innovations. Each represents a so-so concept made spectacular by Madison County

“energetic” entrepreneurs.

Now, take that engineering infrastructure and add a generous portion of new talent and creativity along with some big ideas and determination and here is just a

sampling of what you can get.

AltairNano. A leader in

advanced energy storage systems for clean, efficient power and energy management, Altairnano’s advanced lithium-ion energy storage systems is helping solve today’s toughest power

and energy challenges.

Amatra. Creative solutions for

mass notifications that make it easier for organizations to communicate

urgent messages efficiently.

Coeus Technology. Taking

antimicrobial solutions to where they have never been before: safe and effective solutions resulting in

healthier people.

Weeks Networks. These

twenty-something Madison County natives are revolutionizing something we’ve taken for granted for 120 years

– the telephone.

According to Charles Staley, President and CEO of the Flagship Enterprise Center, “Weeks Networks represents the best of what the Flagship is really about. These are local entrepreneurs who bring divergent skills together to launch exciting new products. We have worked with large communications companies, but we have never received the level of customer service and quality we get

from Weeks Networks.”

Many more businesses can be added to the list. Xtreme Alternative Defense System, HELP Logistics, Comfort Motion Technologies, North Wind Electronics, Rubicon, and Magna-Dynamics, to name a few. They all have something in common: they are finding world-class solutions to everyday problems. And they’re doing

it right here in Madison County.

Want to learn about the

next big idea? Join us for the June 16 Wake Up! Madison County and hear from one of our very own incubated clients and sponsor of the breakfast...Weeks Networks. It will be well worth your

energy.

Connecting Business. Creating Commerce.

Put your HOT DEAL HOT DEAL HOT DEAL HOT DEAL in the

hands of 900 plus

decision makers for

only $199. You print it and fold

it, we’ll mail it. Save on cost of

mailing through this unique,

shared medium.
