Welcome!Oneevent that unites Christians around theworld is thebreaking ofbreadand sharingofwine. In sharingcommunionwerememberhowJesus’ body was broken and his blood was poured out so that thewholeworldmightberestored.Hetookthepunishmentforoursinandset everything rightwith God. This meal became known to the EarlyChristiansastheEucharistameaning“goodgift.”

JesuswasGod’s‘goodgift’toworld.

We,theChurch,areJesus’Body.

Jesus’bodywasbroken.

Wearecalled tobebroken.Weare called tobe poured out.Wearecalledtobegoodgiftstotheworld.

Atthistime,weareallawarethatmanyareasofpubliclifefacecutsinfunding,leavinggapsinmanyareasofsocialprovision.

IreallybelievethattheChurchcanbeinstrumentalinfillingthesegaps, aslongaswearepreparedtobebroken.Itmaymeanthatwehavetogiveupsomeofourprivileges, itmaymeanthatwehavetoputintheeffort, it maymean thatwe have togiveup our time; but isn’t thatwhatwe’recalledtodo?

WilliamTempleonceclaimedthat,“theChurch istheonlysocietythatexistsforthebenefitofthosewhoarenotitsmembers.”

Maybewegettoocaughtupwithlookingoutforourselves,insteadoflookingoutforotherpeople.Let’sfindouthowwecanbegoodgiftstoCallington,andlet’sdoit.Weneedtolaydownourcomfylives,andfill thegaps insociety;whilstpointingtheway toJesus, theonlyonewhocanfilltheGreatGapbetweenusandGod.

YouthWorkUpdateThe past month has been slow insomeways, buthasalsobeenquiteexcitinginalotofotherareas.

WehaveseenournumbersatSoulSpace and on Sundays droprecently, which is probably downto a number of different factors;especiallythefactthatmostoftheyoungpeoplehaveaheavyloadofexams to revise for! ‐ So I wouldreally encourage you to prayespeciallyfortheyoungpeopleasthey revise, that the hard worktheyputinnowmightpayoff, andthatwewould be able tosupportthemwhereverpossible.

It was clear to us that God hasbeen moving through the youthwork, particularly at Café Church.AtourlatestCaféChurch, wewerelookingatwhatwecandotobringGod’s kingdom to earth; how canwebebrokeninordertobringnewlifeandtransformthiscommunity?Asaresult, theyoungpeoplecameup with the idea of having a freeBBQ for the people of Callington, where we would give out freeburgers, sausages, and vegetablekebabsinalocalpark.

Plans are now underway for thisventure, so please join the youngpeople as we pray that theobstacles in our way might beremoved, sothattheyoungpeoplecanmakeadifferencetothetown.

IhavefeltGod pointing outPsalm127tome,whichsays,

“Unless the LORD builds thehouse, itsbuilderslabourinvain.UnlesstheLORDwatchesoverthecity, thewatchmen stand guard invain.”

One of the things that God hasbeen saying is that things willprogress in His time. So let’s praythat we would be open to themoving of the Spirit, and not getcaughtup inourownideasofhowthings are progressing, but seekGod’stiminginallthings.

Ithankyouallforallyourprayers, and hope that we can all put theyoungpeopleat thecentreofourprayers!

Helloeveryone,

Earliertoday ItraveledtoBangkoktovisittheCharles family.Ihaven'tseenthemfortwoweekswhile Iwasawayat the recentInterconconferenceinChiangmai, thoughIhave been in regular contact with themduringthattime.

Inthelastfewdays, thedoctorshavebeenconcerned with increased swelling ofAzaria's brain. They have observedbleeding, and have taken CT scans, includingone thismorning, tomonitorthebleeding.DuetoAzaria'smedicalconditionandtheaddedpressure inthe brain, thereis what the neurologist described as'spontaneous bleeding'. CT scans showthat there is blood in a few parts of thebrain, andthebleedingislikelytoincrease. The doctors saythere is nothing theycando about the bleeding nor the increasingbuildupofpressure.

Joseph, Edwina and I spoke with theneurologist today and he clarified thegravityofthesituationstatingthatthereisnothing the medical staff can do to saveAzaria. The only options they can offerwould be to try and prolong Azaria's lifehere on this earth. The doctor indicatedthat Azaria could be in some pain now, though she is in a coma, due to thepressureinherbrain.

Joseph and Edwina have requested thatthe medical staff neither cut short norprolongAzaria'slife, butallowGodtotakeher in His time. They only ask that the

doctorshelptorelievethepain, whichtheywill do by adding morphine to hertreatment.Dialysiswill continueaswilltherespirator. The doctors will continue withthe same treatment of anti‐fungal andothermedication.

NoonecansayforhowmuchlongerAzariawillbewithus.Itmayonlybeforadayortwo.

TheCharlesfamilyaresogratefulforallthesupporttheyhave receivedovertheselastfew weeks. And they know they are notstandingalonenow.

IwillremainhereinBangkokfornow.Iwillkeep you informed when there are anydevelopments.

Azaria is in God's hands. She always hasbeen.Shealwayswillbe.
