obliged to send annual emission reports to the authorities
• Approximately 100 facilities that reported to EPER in 2006

Norske utslipp – The Norwegian PRTR
Ongoing project – replace earlier system Refined and expanded according to the requirements in the PRTR protocol The first version will be launched in June 2009 (demo is available)
It will contain emission data from the most important sources:

Annual reporting to the authorities
Responsibility of each facility with a licence• report annually to SFT or the County
Governors
• report emissions of substances that can have an environmental impact
• report electronically (since 2007)
The authorities• If facilities fail to report ->
compulsory fine
• Audits from the authorities ->check whether the facilities are fulfilling their responsibilities
