South Carolina Charities, Inc. (SCCI), the non-profit foundation of the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation, was created in order to showcase the beauty of Upstate South Carolina and the hospitality of its citizens to the world; to create an event that brings the Upstate a fun and entertaining week centered around professional athletes and world renowned celebrities; and raise money and awareness for South Carolina charities. The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation is the only tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Korn Ferry Tour professionals in a three-day better-ball competition.

BMW IN THE UPSTATEWith production of its first car on September 8, 1994, BMW Manufacturing is celebrating

the 25th anniversary of production in the Upstate. BMW Manufacturing employs more than 10,000 people to produce the X3, X5 and X7 Sports Activity Vehicles and the X4 and X6 Sports Activity Coupes. The 1,150-acre, 7-million-square-foot campus includes two body shops with 2,000 robots, two paint shops and two assembly halls. The plant generates

nearly 50 percent of its own power from methane gas and uses hydrogen fuel cell

technology to power about 500 pieces of material handling equipment. BMW offers

an on-site Associate Family Health Center and provides 24-hour security and firefighting

personnel. To date, BMW has invested over $9.3 billion in its South Carolina operations and has about

40 suppliers in the state. A University of South Carolina study confirmed that BMW’s economic activities in South

Carolina help support more than 30,000 jobs for South Carolinians. BMW Manufacturing is proud to call South Carolina

home and proud of the charitable giving and impact the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation has on the local community.

CHARITIESTHE CANCER SOCIETY OF GREENVILLE COUNTYOur mission is to create new hope and improve the quality of life for local cancer patients and their families. Since 1965, we have provided free of charge programs, services, education, assistance and support to meet the changing medical, financial, emotional and educational needs of cancer patients and their families in Greenville County. We are not affiliated with the American Cancer

Society and all of our funds are spent locally. We serve over 4,000 cancer patients here at home each year.

THE MEYER CENTER FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN

The Meyer Center for Special Children is a nonprofit that empowers children with disabilities to reach their maximum potential. Our unique

approach integrates early childhood education with intensive therapies, bridging the gap between students with disabilities and their typical peers.

The Meyer Center serves children (ages 0-7 years) with varying disabilities such as cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, autism and rare genetic conditions. Nine

multi-categorical classrooms (serving 95 students) provide an enriching educational setting for students to learn while simultaneously receiving intensive speech, physical and

occupational therapies. This early intervention is key in determining our students’ long-term success in life. We believe that in the right environment, every child can succeed.
