Supplies Needed - Grenada Youth Mission

Trip Our Lady of the Lakes youth will be going on a mission trip to Gre-

nada, a small island in the Caribbean, in July. While the work they

will be doing varies, much of what they will be doing is pain"ng.

They are asked to bring new or gently used pain"ng supplies with

them. If you have tools you can donate, there will be boxes for

dona"ons in the back of all three churches through the end of

June. The supplies needed are:

· ~Paint brushes of various sizes

· ~Roller covers for paint rollers

· ~Drop cloths

· ~Paint scrapers

· ~Rags for cleaning

· ~Painters Tape

Any dona"ons would be greatly appreciated.

Cistercian Oblates will be praying Morning Liturgy of the

Hours following Thursday’s daily Mass , 8:30 a.m., June 21, in the

Fireside Room at St. Alice. All are welcome to join.

Assistant Band Director Wanted St. Francis Catholic School has an opening for a part "me assistant

Band Director. This person would assist our current Band Director,

work directly with students in lessons, organize and assist as

needed for concerts and prac"ces. Music experience preferred.

arrangements at least six to eight months in advance of the planned

If you are experiencing a serious illness or if someone is close to

If you are admi'ed to the hospital, please have a friend or family

member no"fy the parish office for visits and prayers for you.

Rhubarb Fest The Rhubarb Fest is coming, and it's time to get ready. Please help

with our need for rhubarb; our goal this year is to make 500 pies, so

we need a lot of rhubarb! Rhubarb can be cut and then frozen.

Please make a note of how many cups of rhubarb is in each frozen

bag of rhubarb. Frozen rhubarb can be brought to Our Lady of

Lourdes church and put in the freezer. We will be cutting rhubarb

after the June 24 Sunday Mass. If you have rhubarb to bring in, we

will be more than happy to have it cut on that day. We will serve

beverages and treats before, during and after the rhubarb cutting

event.

St. Mathias Church Bazaar

St. Mathias church at 4529 County Road 121, Fort Ripley will hold

its annual bazaar on Sunday, June 24, beginning with Mass at 10:30

a.m., followed by chicken and ham dinner with all the trimmings

served from 11:00-1:30. Cash bingo, country store, games for the

whole family, raffles and live music all a#ernoon. Raffle at 4:00 p.m.

with lots of prizes to be given away. You are all invited to come

celebrate with the St. Mathias parish community and share in

fellowship, food and fun!

Condolences Our parish’s condolences to the families and friends of Harold

Kraus, who recently passed away. Eternal rest grant unto him, O

Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the

souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in

peace. Amen.

Children's Chapel We will be offering Children's Chapel again at St. Alice Church

on Sundays during the summer months. This will be for

Kindergarten through fourth grades. Please contact Jenny if you

or your older teen would like to teach.

Summer Fun for Grades 3-7

We are going to get together on Wednesdays this summer from

3:30-6:00 p.m. at St. Alice Church for food, fun, and ac"vity. Our

20-minute ac"vity each week will be directed at deepening our

8th & 9th Grade Discipleship Team

Sign up to help lead middle-level youth ac"vi"es during the

summer months. We will be mee"ng on Wednesdays from 3:00

-6:00 p.m. at St. Alice Church with the middle level youth. Our

strategy is to help younger kids deepen their rela"onship and

communicate with God in a way that respects their emo"onal

development.

High School & 8th Grade

Join us on Saturday, June 30, for 5:00 Mass, then stay a#erward

to pray evening prayer with Fr. Mike Schmitz. We’ll also eat and

Camp Survive

Our Lady of the Lakes Parish has 25 youth a'ending Camp

Survive this summer from August 6-10. The JC Team will begin

at Immaculate Heart Church on Saturday, August 4 for training.

Those applying for a scholarship need to have a completed

applica"on to Jenny by June 20. Your final payment to the

Diocese is due July 20.

Totus Tuus Update!! We have run in to several conflicts with the week that we were

assigned a Totus Tuus team. Father Mike and several youth will

be in Grenada, and many other youth will be in Steubenville

that week. Therefore, we will be partnering with Immaculate

Heart to offer Totus Tuus the week of June 17 - 23. Please
