PANDEMIC UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) provides up to 39 weeks of unemployment benefits to individuals who are unable to work because of a COVID-19-related reason but are not eligible for regular or extended unemployment benefits. From Father Alejandro's Desk Dear parishioners, Peace and joy in Jesus the Lord! I would have liked to have started this letter by commenting that we already have regularly started the Eucharistic celebrations in the parish church, but we are still working with the local authorities to obtain permission-approval so that we can increase the number of participants per Mass from 10 people, including myself, to 25% of the church capacity. We continue to work tenaciously. From this weekend, as a positive thing, we will be celebrating the Mass with measures to protect everyone, especially the most vulnerable. The parish staff is organizing the lists and the way to participate. Some important news:

Why do we need the name and phone number of the people who will attend now and in the future? To prevent them if any person amongst the attendees is positive for the virus, we must follow the protocol indicated by the Archdiocese and local authorities to notify all those who were exposed.

Since there are only 10 people, including myself, we will be reorganizing all the Mass schedules. From now on, as a test, we will be celebrating the Mass according to these times: Monday through Friday, 12:00pm in English; 7:00pm in Spanish Saturday: 4:00pm in English; 6:30pm in Spanish Sunday: 8:00am (with preference for the elderly), 10:30am and 1:00pm, all in Spanish

Baptisms: you have to call the rectory to arrange the day. Due to preventive measures, we will not be cele-brating baptisms, either on Sundays or in the community, but on Saturdays in the morning and individually. The baptism’s preparation will be organized via digital platform.

Marriages: please call the rectory. As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Precious Body and Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi, as we announced last Sunday, we formally begin in the Archdiocese the Year of the Eucharist, where we will have the opportunity to be missionaries of the Eucharist. Del escritorio de Padre Alejandro Queridos feligreses, ¡Paz y gozo en Jesús, el Señor! Hubiese querido iniciar esta carta comentándoles que ya iniciamos regularmente las celebraciones eucarísticas en el templo parroquial, pero todavía estamos trabajando con las autoridades locales para obtener el permiso-aprobación a fin que podamos elevar el número de participantes por celebración eucarística de 10 personas, incluyéndome, a un 25% de la capacidad del templo. Seguimos trabajando tenazmente. Lo positivo es que desde este fin de semana estaremos celebrando la eucaristía con asistencia de 10 personas. Eso nos dará tiempo para verificar las medidas preventivas necesarias para proteger a todos, especialmente a los más vulnerables. El Staff de la parroquia está organizando las listas y la manera de participar. Algunas novedades importantes:

¿Por qué necesitamos el nombre y el número de teléfono de las personas que asistirán ahora y en el futuro? Pa-ra prevenirlos si alguna persona de entre los asistentes resultase positiva al virus, debemos seguir el protoco-lo indicado por la Arquidiócesis y las autoridades locales de avisar a todos aquellos que estuvieron expues-tos.

Como son solamente 10 personas, incluyéndome, estaremos reorganizando todo el horario de las eucaristías. De ahora en adelante, a modo de prueba, estaremos celebrando las eucaristías según estos horarios:

Lunes a viernes, 12:00pm, en inglés; 7:00pm, en español Sábado: 4:00pm, en inglés; 6:30pm, en español Domingo: 8:00am (con preferencia a las personas mayores), 10:30am, 1:00pm, todas en español

Bautizos: hay que llamar a la casa parroquial para cuadrar el día. Por las medidas preventivas, no estaremos ce-lebrando los bautizos ni los domingos ni comunitarios, sino los sábados en la mañana e individuales. Las charlas pre-bautismales serán organizadas vía plataforma digital.

Matrimonios: por favor, llamar a la casa parroquial. Al celebrar la Solemnidad del Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo, Corpus Christi, como anunciamos el domingo pasado, damos inicio formalmente al Año de la Eucaristía, donde tendremos la oportunidad de ser misioneros de la Eucaris-tía.
