With every donation we receive we can make a difference in someone’s life!!! Sometimes we only have to help an individual or family once and

they grab the opportunity and make a success from then on. Sometimes we have to help a few times and the individual or family can then move

on and sometimes just survive with what they have. Most of the individuals or families need guidance and it’s also an educational process.

You can make a difference by donating basis toiletries, groceries, baby things, cleaning material and toys.

We also use any thing you want to throw out your house: clothes, shoes, books, toys, educational toys, soft toys, furniture and

kitchenware. Anything you cannot use, please pass it on to us and we will find a home for it!

Maria Phuting from Thembelihle Educare Centre in Nonzamo:We donated toys, educational toys and paper dolls. On a second occasion we donated more toys. She was so grateful for the donation. She said now she has a proper school.

Helderberg Netball Club had their fundraising day on the 15th of September and Androni Naude

wrote in a team to play for the day. Halli Trust donated Energade drinks for the team and also for the 2nd runner up team.

Smartie Town – Halli Trust has an ongoing project in expanding and renovating the little community hall. We want to make it sufficient and efficient to help improve the community. We are working towards a fully equipped kitchen, cutlery and crockery for 1000 people, 1000 chairs, enough tables, and containers to store educational toys. We plan to use the community hall for motivational and educational programs and functions.

Our aim is to have lots of different groups of people with different skills involvedin Smartie Town to help build-up the community.

We need support!!! This is a community with lots of physical, emotional and educational needs!!!

School clothes, shoes and stationery project – We collect and distribute these items in the community. Local branded school clothes will be distributed outside the Western Cape and unnamed clothes locally. This is an ongoing project that needs continuous support and assistance.

? Little Halli Brothers & Sisters – We can get soft toys from Classic Warehouse in Epping.

The idea is to clothe them like Halli and use them to raise funds for school/individuals/organizations. We can contact the ladies that made clothes for the Build a Bears.

? Halli Calendar – Theo Naude from JMT Studio’s offered his services. This can be used as gifts/

fundraisers/donations for Halli Trust. Any other ideas???

? Recipe Book – We want a little recipe book with very affordable basic recipes. We can use this to help families/individuals with their budget- and menu planning.

? Halli tea’s – We want to explain the happenings and projects of Halli Trust but also to just have fun together. “Laugh and cry together!!!”

? To go to Companies/organisations and ask for donations – To approach companies and ask if they could add us as their charity for the year. Any other form of exposure that we can getand any form of donations.

? Scarves Project – We want enough knitted scarves to hand out to a school or a large numberof kids.

? Employment Possibilities – Our aim with this is to have a guide ready to hand to an individual seeking employment. A guide on how to complete a CV. Where to do job hunting (District Mail, Gumtree, Career jet/indeed ect), possible contacts to phone (Cleaning services or Garden services ect), employment agencies (Mirand Corbet & Anderson ect) and Education places to go to (Edu Babes, Domestic training ect). A full guide in seeking employment.

? Sweetie Project – We hand out sweeties every now and then. By having a cute inspiring sweetie given with love, could make the day better for a little one.

? Toiletries Project – By rapping a bar of soap in a facecloth, or you can add any other toiletries to this little gift. We also use it in our Christmas gifts.

Page 9: July - September 2012 DEAR FRIEND!!!hallitrust.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Halli...5 Visits undertaken with Halliduring July - September 2012: We had a Halli Visitat Lavis Drive

? Christmast Party Project – We do a Christmas Party every year and we still need to plan this year’s party. We will need help with the sweets, chips, gifts, cold drinks, food, stuff to do and the venue.

Sweeties and Chippies or Fruit – To hand out when we do visits with Halli, our Mascot!

Dog food, food bowls and old blankets – Surita will use it for her projects in Crossroads.

Sport things (any balls or sports equipment) – Lots of kids do not have a ball to play with.

? This means the project is not yet up and running or we need assistance!!!

Surita’s Project:

This little dog was found running in the middle of the street in Crossroads. No mother or other puppies could be found in the vicinity. She was about 8 weeks old and very hungry and dehydrated. I took her home, cleaned her up and tried to find a new home for her. She was taken to the vet to start her vaccinations. My son Luke named her Cutie and needless to say, she has been adopted by us!!!

One of the dogs at my clinic in Crossroads, Chichibunga, was diagnosed having cancer. He is a large dog of almost 2 years old. I took him to the animal welfare clinic in Philipi, where he was treated. He is now fully recovered, but thinks he is a housedog. Since he came back from his treatment he follows me into the clinic and spends the whole day with me in the office.

I want to share the lyrics from the song I won’t give up from Jason Mraz

with you. This song motivates me to do what I do and I know Halli Trust is

still going to do great and wonderful things.

A last thought

fromHeidi…

I am proud of these 3 boys Renier, Jeniel and Victor!!! Renier and Victor wanted to visit Smartie Town and to meet the kids.We went and handed out chips, sweeties and suckers to the kids. They loved it and were glad they went and could bring a smile to the kids’ faces!!!

[Jason Mraz]When I look into your eyesIt's like watching the night skyOr a beautiful sunriseWell there's so much they holdAnd just like them old starsI see that you've come so farTo be right where you areHow old is your soul?

I won't give up on usEven if the skies get roughI'm giving you all my loveI'm still looking up

And when you're needing your spaceTo do some navigatingI'll be here patiently waitingTo see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burnSome even fall to the earthWe've got a lot to learnGod knows we're worth itNo, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easilyI'm here to stay and make the difference that I can makeOur differences they do a lot to teach us how to use the tools and giftsWe got yeah we got a lot at stake

And in the end,You're still my friend at least we didn't tendFor us to work we didn't break, we didn't burnWe had to learn, how to bend without the world caving inI had to learn what I got, and what I'm notAnd who I am

I won't give up on usEven if the skies get roughI'm giving you all my loveI'm still looking upI'm still looking up

I won't give up on usGod knows I'm tough, he knowsWe got a lot to learnGod knows we're worth it

I won't give up on us

Even if the skies get rough

I'm giving you all my love

I'm still looking up...

Never give up…. Stand up for what you believe in….Grow as a person…..Chance if it’s necessary….. Be positive….Build relationships…. Stand your ground….Work through the tough times…Love…. Laugh….MAKE A DIFFERENCE….

I want to THANK my super stunning husband Martin, daughter Androni and son Jeniel for always being ready to help with anything!!! You are very special and it’s amazing that you are always ready to back me with your support!!! LOVE U!!!
