The White House: Inside Story celebrates the 200-year history of the White House through the stories of the First Families who have called it home, and through the recollections of workers, historians and members of the press who have spent time within the illustrious building. Weaving together video footage, still photos and interviews, The White House: Inside Story explores the history of the Executive Mansion through the eyes of the remarkable people who help make this institution live and breathe – both past and present. Standing at the epicenter of global politics, in the heart of the nation’s capital, the story of the White House is the story of America itself.

Monday, July 4 @ 7PMThis July 4th, America’s national Independence Day celebration kicks off the festivities for our country’s 240th birthday with a star-spangled party and all-star salute. Coming to you live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol before an audience of hundreds of thousands, millions at home and to our troops around the world via American Forces Network.

Monday, July 4 @ 8:30PMThis year's Memorial Day concert honored Kansas City and its veterans with the theme, "Coming Home to Kansas City." The Kansas City Symphony was joined by

local jazz stars, vocalist Kevin Mahogany and saxophonist Bobby Watson.

Three-year-old Monique Corzilius counts to 10, pulling petals from a daisy. A voice from mission control then counts down as the camera zooms into Monique's dark pupil. An atomic blast and

ensuing mushroom cloud consumes the TV screen as President Lyndon Johnson's voice proclaims

"We must either love each other, or we must die." This political ad, “Peace Little Girl,” aired only once

or twice during the 1964 presidential campaign between Lyndon Johnson and Barry Goldwater, but it ushered in a new era of the television attack ad.

Follow 12 amateur bakers as they don aprons and head for the tent in the British countryside, hoping to be named Britain’s best. Judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood have created new challenges to test

their baking prowess, creativity and skill.

A tale of two great entertainment palaces—the Miller and the Orpheum. One barely survived while the other

came crashing down, still in its prime. Learn the story behind the story from the

Especially those fighting disease, facing a natural disaster, coping with a disability or battling mental illness. “Life on the Line” is an inspiring look into the resilience of humankind. Narrated by Lisa Ling.Episode 1, Rough Beginnings. After an unexpected pregnancy, Janett and Gian find out their baby boy will be born with a life-threatening condition called gastroschisis, a birth defect in which the intestines are outside of the body. Without immediate medical treatment, baby Theodore’s life will be in danger, as soon as he is born. Follow the journey of a beautiful family, whose bond grows stronger during their biggest life challenge, and the doctors and nurses who pull together with hopes of giving Theodore a future.

Sister Wendy explores the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, Calif., which bears the hallmark of one private collector, its founder, Norton Simon. In her trademark manner, she offers her own inimitable reflections on some of the collection’s most famous works and some of its lesser-known gems. She points out her personal favorites and reflects on Simon’s choices as well.
