THANK YOU

To our Church Family:

The Trammell family would like to express before the people of God

their deepest appreciation and praise. First of all to The One True God,

The Great I Am, for His Great Compassion, Mercy, and Grace

especially during the passing and Home Going of their son, Rocky.

And to you Church Family, there are no earthly words that are

adequate for expressing our gratefulness for your outpouring

compassion and acts of kindness to us. You have blessed us beyond

words.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR THE THINGS HE HAS DONE.

Sincerely,

Ricky, Elaine and the Trammell family

Clarene Jones has announced her Retirement

effective July 31, of this year. Miss Clarene has served First

Baptist Church for over 17 years as Secretary and so much

more. We will honor her on Sunday afternoon, July 27 with a

reception in the Fellowship Hall.

July 20, we will have a Watermelon Fellowship

following the evening worship service. This will also be a

great time to Welcome the Baxley’s with a good old fashion

pounding (gift card tree). Come that evening to join in the

fun and help them stock their new home.

One of the highlights of the Church year for me is our

SILENT COMMUNION SERVICE. We will celebrate the

Lord’s Supper this Sunday evening in silence. It is a service

of worship, reflection, renewal and offers a response of

repentance before the Lord. I encourage all of our

congregation to be present to participate in this special

spiritual event.

Please be in prayer for the Revival Services that are

scheduled for October 12-15. Pray the revival begins long

before then.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Paul

YOUTH PRAISE TEAM A word of thanks to our Youth Worship Leaders who led

us Sunday night during the Merge Mission Trip report.

Kelsey Harrell, Lindsey Duke, Searcy Smith, Ben

Mitchell and Jeff Baxley combined to help us all worship.

We are grateful for your tender spirits and for leading us

with ‘psalms and hymns and spiritual songs’.

SUNDAY WORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The morning worship services this week will feature our

Praise Team. Allison, Toby, Erin and Ben use their gifts

faithfully to unite us in praise. Pray for each of our

church musicians who stand before us to share a message

from God. I appreciate the willingness they have to invest

their lives in sharing the Gospel through the channel of

music.

Music from our pianist and organist will lead our

thoughts next Sunday evening as we celebrate the Lord’s

Supper. We refer to this event as a ‘Silent Lord’s Supper,’

but as the accompanists play inspirational music, only our

spoken voices are silent. Take this time to pray ‘loudly’

with your hearts. Pray for forgiveness, reconciliation, and

a heart to love and follow the Lord with your whole

hearts.

CHURCH MUSICIANS NEEDED Thanks for taking a moment to complete and return the

Music Ministry Service Survey which was sent to known

musicians here at FBC. Return them to me or to the box

located by the Choir room door. Your faithful participa-

tion is needed for our body to perform at its best!

Art

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day weekend

celebration. This past Sunday was a great day in worship as

we gathered together to praise the name of King Jesus. We

heard a very timely and challenging word from our Pastor and

recognized the way God has blessed this great country that we

are able to live in!! Also, Sunday evening was a blessing for

me to hear our students share about our time at Merge Mission

Camp. Thank you for joining us in worship and letting our

students have the opportunity to be in front of you and lead

you.

July is among us and the start of school is just around the

corner. Parents and students be looking out for information

and details about our fall schedule. We have a number of

events and activities to get planned and ready for the next few

months. Parents be looking out for information about a parent

meeting that we need to have in the next couple of weeks. We

are planning on moving this Saturday!! We are excited about

being here full time. So keep an eye and ear out for details

about our youth ministry.

Blessing,

Jeff
