  • Hello. Hope your having a good day. Seems as if the World is heading into Chaos as people seem to

worry about offending others too much. Let me jump

straight into this one. I am pleased with the way the republican Party

has so many things to point out thats wrong, yet didnt they have the House majority? Oh yea, I forgot. Our president is a dictator. Proving himself more and more everyday,

with his hidden agenda to ruin America as best he can, so that no matter who becomes

next president we will be in a hole. A big hole that keeps getting deeper and wider daily.

Everyday, you go on about your work, paying the bills, paying taxes..... Funny how no

one who owes such as Al Sharpton does, he visits the prez whenever he wants to? IRS

should be revamped completely. If my readers may recall. In a past tyrant, I spoke of in

my Editorial about how the IRS, Lois Lerner should be in prison. Do you remember?

Check out online, our past editions and see what I said. Guess what? I was right then too.

I will say NOW that I hope that TRUMP keeps gaining more and more support. He

will start at the right spot for us to regain our country back. Us white folks dont seem to have too much support now that every race hates us, for slavery? Anyone around here

still have a slave? I didnt think so. Had to ask..lol

Next is this: Ted Cruz Drops Jaws Across America By Exposing Who Is

REALLY Helping Terrorists Go Figure. Presidential candidate and Texas senator Ted Cruz made headlines recently by calling

President Barack Obama the largest sponsor of terrorism in the world based on the amount of money his administration agreed to give Iran in the recently concluded nuclear

    deal with that country.

While in Ethiopia, Obama counterattacked by criticizing Cruz for making such a com-

ment but did not respond to the senators accusation itself.. Cruz stated that if this deal goes through the Obama administration becomes the leading financier of terrorism

against Americans in the world. Ive heard this referred to before as the Jihadist Stimu-lus Bill. It is a fact that Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism. Obama has admitted this. And now, with the Iranian nuclear agreement concluded, the United States could be

handing Iran $150 billion. And we are a country in debt? To whom?

Will Iran refrain from using that money to support jihadist goals? Well just days after the nuclear deal was struck, Irans Supreme Leader Khamenei stated, We will never stop supporting our friends in the region and the people of Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Iraq,

Bahrain and Lebanon. Even after this deal our policy towards the arrogant U.S. will not

change.Additionally, Secretary of State John Kerry admitted that at least some of the $150 billion given to Iran would be used to support terrorism. Now, with respect to the money, I cant tell you that some you know, some amount of money might not find its way to some effort, he said (H/T Front Page Mag). It is based on these comments that Cruz labeled Obama the largest financial backer of

Islamic extremism. Interestingly enough, Obama found it necessary to criticize Cruz

while on his African road trip, but the president never refuted Cruzs statements. Later Sen. Cruz spoke with Sean Hannity on Fox News and kept up the attack. Hannity

noted that already Iran was NOT abiding by the deal because inspectors had been barred

from nuclear detonator sites. The Fox News host also expressed his anger regarding the

Obama administrations failure to free American hostages and to get Iran to back off from its goal to exterminate Israel as part of the nuclear agreement.

The senator reiterated that the money given to Iran would end up funding Hamas, Hez-

bollah and other Islamic terrorists. He then invited Obama to debate the substance of the

Iran deal. Cruz then proceeded to criticize the Republican leadership for not defending

conservative principles, pointing out that they had killed an amendment to reject the nuclear deal with Iran unless Iran accepted Israels right to exist (H/T Fox News). In conclusion, Obama is either aiding and abetting the enemy or he is a total idiot. Either

    likelihood is a frightening prospect.

You think Im concerned with Local aspects of growth as much as I see a need to in-form you my friends of this newspaper of the truth, beyond Walton county? It seems like

I meet a lot of younger kids not having a clue what or who ISIS is? I wonder where they

have been, how can you NOT be aware of EVIL at a level such as this? And its growing and spreading so that even our unarmed Military cannot feel safe here? In America?

Yea, just up the road. What are we doing together as citizens to be prepared for such

an attack near here? You see the kid that went to the movies and shot up people then eas-

ily escapes by just shooting themselves. The ideology of this terroristic BS has to come

to a stop! But how? How can you monitor the brain washed of the youth on computers. Evil making itself look good to join up with them? Someone has been, because just last

year the numbers of members proclaiming Sharia, ISIS, Islamic Terrorism has only tri-

pled. How do you ask? I feel they think they found a safe haven, choice: of being alive as

one of them..or is it better than dying a Christian? They want to LIVE. Dont you? They keep upping the ante, what are we doing with our young minds this year at

schools? Common core? Should teach more manners and history of FACTS! USA

Mississippi school district fined $7500 for

opening assembly with prayer Allowing a school assembly honoring high-achievers to open with a prayer made

one Mississippi school district $7,500 poorer - and a student who sued $2,500

richer. The Rankin, Miss., public school district was hit with the fine after U.S.

District Judge Carlton Reeves said it defied his prior order barring prayers school

events. According to the judge, the prayer violated a 2013 court settlement that

ordered the district to stop "proselytizing Christianity." The alleged violation,

which came at an assembly last year for students who scored above 22 on their

ACT college admissions test, prompted the judge to apply fines for that and an-

other incident, in which Gideons International was permitted to hand out Bibles

to elementary school students. "The district's breach did not take very long and it

occurred in a very bold way," Reeves wrote in his judgment. "Its conduct dis-

plays that the district did not make any effort to adhere to the agreed judgment."

Reeves also ordered the district to pay the student's legal fees, an amount that

will be determined at a later date, and threatened a $10,000 fine for any future

    infractions of the order.

Florida Surgeon General Dr. John Armstrong described the increase as

an alarming public health concern and calls for increased vigilance from

parents, businesses and e-cigarette users to keep these items away from

    children.

Armstrong says child-resistant packaging on bottles and cartridges of

liquid nicotine used in e-cigarettes and other nicotine delivery devices is

necessary to protect infants and children. If swallowed or absorbed

through the skin, liquid nicotine can lead to serious illness or even

death. He said the number of calls to poison centers involving e-

cigarette liquids containing nicotine rose from one per month in Septem-

ber 2010 to 215 per month in February 2014, according to a study pub-

lished last year by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

    (CDC)

Armstrong said that adding warning labels on e-cigarettes would be an

important step in educating the public about the dangers of nicotine ad-

diction. Armstrong urged the FDA to implement measures that restrict

the availability and access of liquid nicotine to those under 18, including

containers of liquid nicotine and devices used to deliver liquid nicotine

    such as e-cigarettes.

    DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH URGES

    FLORIDIANS TO PROTECT THEM-

SELVES AGAINST WEST NILE VIRUS ~ West Nile Virus Case Confirmed in Walton County

The Florida Department of Health is urging Floridi-

ans and visitors to protect themselves against West

Nile Virus. The Department of Health today con-

firmed the first case of West Nile virus illness in

Florida for 2015 in an adult female resident of

Walton County. West Nile virus is a mosquito-borne

virus that causes mild to severe illness, and there

have been 38 other states with confirmed cases in

    2015.

"I encourage Floridians and visitors to take steps to

prevent mosquito bites that can lead to illness," said

State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr.

John Armstrong. "Stay safe by draining any standing

water near or in your home, making sure that screens

are intact, and keeping your skin covered with cloth-

    ing and mosquito repellent."

Most people with West Nile virus infections, ap-

proximately 80 percent, have no symptoms. In those

people who develop them, most experience a mild

illness with conditions like headache, fever, pain and

fatigue. These typically appear between two and 14

days after the bite of an infected mosquito.

People over the age of 50 and individuals with weak-

ened immune systems, especially transplant recipi-

ents and HIV-infected individuals, seem to be at in-

creased risk for severe disease. There is no specific

treatment for West Nile virus, and most mild infec-

tions are typically overcome with little or no medical

intervention within a matter of weeks. Those experi-

encing severe side effects should seek medical atten-

    tion immediately.

The department continues to conduct statewide sur-

    veillance for mosquito-borne illnesses, including

West Nile virus infections, Eastern Equine Encepha-

litis, St. Louis encephalitis, Malaria and Dengue.

Residents are encouraged to report dead birds to the

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

    website at www.myfwc.com/bird.

The department has put together broadcast-quality

downloadable videos in both English and Spanish for

use by the media on West Nile virus. You can find

    those at www.floridahealth.gov/diseases-and-

    conditions/west-nile-virus/index.html. There are also

a number of educational materials, including a Fre-

quently Asked Questions document and historical

data on the illness. You'll also find basic information

about the importance of taking precautions to avoid

mosquito-borne illness in a press release put out by

the department earlier this summer at

    www.floridahealth.gov/newsroom/2015/06/061215-

    mosquito.html.

Big Swings in Blood Pressure Could Spell Trouble

Wide fluctuations between doctor visits tied to raised odds of heart dis-

ease, early death, study says. The large study of people taking blood pres-

sure medication found that variations of more than 14 mm Hg in systolic

blood pressure readings between doctor visits was linked to a 25 percent

increased risk of heart failure. Systolic blood pressure is the top number in

a blood pressure reading. "Patients should have their blood pressure con-

trolled," monitored all the time once youve had a stroke before.

Compared to patients whose blood pressure remained stable, the research-

ers found that an average blood pressure variation of about 15 mm Hg was

linked to a 30 percent raised risk of heart attack or fatal heart disease, and

a 46 percent raised risk of stroke. In addition, the risk for death from any

cause was increased by 58 percent. High blood pressure is a leading con-

tributor to heart attack, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure and premature

death, Lowering blood pressure to less than 140 mm Hg systolic and less

than 90 mm Hg diastolic with medication and lifestyle changes is the long-

standing treatment target, overall. Diet, and medication along with exer-

cise to work the heart muscle is important for longer life chance.

    Russ Barley Mayor-Freeport, Fl.

Greetings from the Mayors Office. Wow! The heat has been brutal this summer, so I am hoping that

everyone is staying cool and hydrated.

Some new items of interest for this post first concerning the City/

County Pool, it has been closed down quite a bit this season due

to several issues and we are still working on the problems, so in

hopes that it will open again soon. We have had mechanical is-

sues first with the pool pump burning up then lighting hitting the

breaker panel and burning out elements and a problem with the

chlorine levels to make it safe for all who visit the pool, currently

we are testing the waters and have an inspection on Wednesday

of this week and we will post information for when the pool is up

and running. We recently were presented a power point presenta-

tion by a group of developers (331 Partners) with interest in a

development, The Preserve at LaFayette Creek ,which consist of over 1,700 acres of Pine Woods and Pristine Creekside Prop-

center will also include some temporary housing for the veterans

and their families. This development will be located north of the

post office on the new 331 bypass. This is the week that the land

should begin clearing for the Shops of Freeport which will also

his water operator license, he was acknowledged and received a

sembly of God Church has obtained permission from the city

council to begin a movie night on Friday nights behind city hall

and will be free to the public. I would like to again invite you to

days from the second annual city festival Bayfest, which will be held on September 19th . Please join us on the second Tuesday

and fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm to have a voice in

At the July 14, 2015 Freeport City Council Meeting, Councilwoman Brannon introduced

District 4 County Commissioner Bill Chapman, who stated that Councilwoman

Brannon had brought the health issues pertaining to the Coyote Landfill (abandoned)

to Commissioner Chapman several months back. Commissioner Chapman got

County Administrator Larry Jones involved and they had a meeting on-site with

FDEP. Apparently the insurance company for the site has 1.2 million to close the

landfill, but a conduit is required; an entity to take charge of the clean-up. The

County stepped up to be the conduit and to hire the contractor to clean up the site,

level the land and provide required 3/1 slopes. The contractors engineer will work with the countys engineer. The clean-up should stop the odor and limit groundwater intrusion. Chapman stated that it will take 16-18 months to encumber the funds; the

County will use as much in-house labor and materials as possible to make the money

go further. Commissioner Chapman offered thanks and kudos to Councilwoman

Brannon for bringing the matter to the Countys attention.

Thank You, Emerald Star News, In a semi-recent Letter to the Editor, I wrote to you about the headaches and the foul smell I get when I walked my dog around at Hammock Bay. I remembered how we talked on the phone and you said you

will print my asking or the situation and see if we get any responses. We sure did!

It made me ill when I read later on that several people were being harassed and even threatened about that Coyote Landfill situation along Hwy. 20. How those in power, got suspicious of you and so many others who were involved. Look what they did was already done. I just was hoping we could clean

it up somehow or make it cleaner for the future. The place was a disaster area to say the least.

Then, I was afraid too, for I signed what I wrote to you, thinking others might help me or see I care about the health of all of our healthy and living conditions. Boy, I was wrong. Most of the locals got mad

at me for starting stuff, where they had deals already done and over with.

That is UNTIL I WROTE IN.. I am so proud of you, Mr. Wolfe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. After you spoke with city-

councilwoman and League of Cities member Elizabeth Brannon of FREEPORT. She has been a blessing

to all of us. No one made her drive and do endless hours of work. Late meetings throughout Florida, all

those driving hours probably thinking, is this worth it? No one else seemed to care for how long?

Even those who think she did wrong by digging up dirt, about the wrong doings and health prob-lems of citizens in the area. Shame on those who spoke ill of her. This Woman deserves a KEY to the CITY for what she has helped fix, after taking this situation all the way to the State, The Capital, possi-bly even got the attention of the EPA at a national level. How many meetings with top executives of Flor-

ida for Floridas BEST interest. Clean air & water. She is an amazing person! If it wasnt for her heart, telling her to continue fighting the good fight and not being like most of the Locals who would rather just take hush money and let people and animals die off in the process. Who

knows if ever it would have been dealt with at all? If this wasnt addressed properly to some degree, the children of your children may have been living in toxic dangerous gases or worse. The facts cannot be

denied or why else would this 1.5 million decision happen? Ms. Brannon is a Champion!

From the Editor, I would like to Thank those of you who wrote me and sent me detailed information. If not I may not felt the need to start asking questions. On every-

ones behalf, the Lady who wrote in 2 months ago, and for myself and the people who live around here. Yes, even those of you who bad talk me. I put my heart in every Edition, hoping to inform, educate and make things happen.

I, want to say Congratulations Ms. Brannon on your persistence when even other

board members looked down upon you. Doubt the feel sorry now either, knowing those

people who voted them in got a glimpse of the type of character these people have.

Where is their BEST interest for the citizens who PAY THEM or they in it just to get in

on the action? Remember, just like OBAMA. Someone either LIED, Forged or did

something deceitful. You voted for them. Cause they are looking out for you? Frank

get-a-way from the hustle and bustle

Healthmark Health Matters By, Ron Kelley Mold and Allergies

Sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, cough, postnasal drip and watery eyes these are all normal symptoms associated with common

allergies. However, if a person has a mold allergy, their immune system overreacts when they breathe in mold spores and this trig-

    gers a cascade of reactions.

According to physicians and researchers at Mayo Clinic, mold allergy symptoms vary from person to person and range from mild

to severe. A person may have year-round symptoms or symptoms that flare up only during certain times of the year or when the

    weather is damp.

In some people, mold allergy is linked to asthma and exposure causes restricted breathing and other airway symptoms. For people with a mold allergy and

asthma, the asthma symptoms may be triggered by exposure to mold spores and can cause a severe asthma attack, complete with coughing, wheezing, short-

ness of breath and chest tightness.

People who have a stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes or other bothersome symptoms that persist, see a physician, especially if there is a family history of

    allergies.

Individuals run a higher risk of developing mold allergies if they are in an occupation such as farming, dairy work, logging, baking, millwork, carpentry,

greenhouse work, winemaking and furniture repair.

Working or living in a building that's been exposed to excess moisture is another risk factor. Buildings that have leaky pipes, water seepage during rain-

storms or flood damage can breed mold.

While there's no sure way to cure a mold allergy, the first step is to try and eliminate the mold source by using bleach and other products. A number of

medications can ease physical symptoms. These include nasal sprays like Flonase, Nasonex and antihistamines such as Alavert, Claritin and Allegra. Oral

decongestants like Sudafed and Drixoral can also help. However, oral decongestants can raise blood pressure so avoid them if you have high blood pressure.

To reduce mold growth in the home, eliminate sources of dampness in basements, such as pipe leaks or groundwater seepage. Use a dehumidifier in any

area of the house that smells musty or damp. Keep humidity levels below 50 percent. Remember to clean the collection bucket and condensation coils regu-

larly. Use an air conditioner, and consider installing central air conditioning with a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter attachment. The HEPA filter

can trap mold spores from outdoor air before they're circulated inside the house.

Don't carpet bathrooms and basements. Clean out rain gutters frequently. Toss or recycle old books and newspapers. If left in damp places, such as base-

ments, they can quickly become moldy. For more information, contact Dr. Emma Stoll at Healthmark Walk-In Clinic, (850) 951-4556.

    Funny. Look

    the Editor is Capricorn..

Do what you can to connect deeply with your partner. He or she might be more responsive to your senti-

mental side than you think. In fact, it's possible that your love is troubled by an unresolved situation in

your relationship. If you show that you're emotionally open rather than defensive, this will be an excellent

time to iron out whatever wrinkle this is

Although you might spend most of this week working through a rough patch with your partner, it appears

that by Friday, the two of you will have either agreed to disagree or resolved the situation. Alternatively,

if you have been struggling with growing romantic feelings for a coworker, could get things messy.

You might not be able to hide the emotional connection and chemistry you feel for one of your friends

any longer. At the same time however, he or she might not know how to react to it. If you do reveal an

attraction for your pal, be patient if you don't receive an immediate response. Give your friend time to

    process it.

It's time for you and your mate to take care of any unresolved domestic issues that are getting in the way

of your romance. Perhaps one of your relatives -- or even a child has demanded a great deal of your focus

lately due to a hard time that he or she is going through. You've been an incredible source of strength and

support but while you've been the rock for your family it appears that your love life may have suffered.

Decisions about love and money will come to the forefront this week. Although you might feel pressured

into solving any dilemma immediately, that won't be the ideal course of action. Instead, take your time to

process information and options carefully over the next few weeks. If you have a life changing decision to

make about a relationship or with your partner this will be especially important.

A growing sense of dissatisfaction in your life might relate directly to the lack of appreciation you feel

from the most important person in your life -- your mate. It's possible that he or she hasn't been expressing

just how amazing you are -- at least not in any way that you've noticed. In fact, in some cases there might

be a situation where your partner is devaluing you altogether.

Venus will retrograde back into your sign, and will remain retrograde until September 6. This will be a

key time for you and your mate to re-evaluate whether or not each of you is giving and receiving love in a

way that nourishes your relationship and individual selves. Love can become deeper than ever if you're

willing to put in some work on yourself first.

Matters of the heart are still up for review and will continue to require your careful consideration until

after September 6. Now that Venus is in the most private part of your chart and moving backwards, you

might notice that any unresolved traumas connected to romance are coming up to the surface. Attempting

to bury them now will only rob you of the future happiness in love that you deserve.

If you're dating someone this week it will likely bring a defining moment between you and your lover.

Either the two of you will exchange those intimate words of love as you deepen your bond or you'll de-

cide that it's time to move on. There really isn't much room for anything in the middle -- it's an all or noth-

ing feeling that your romantic situation will leave you with.

Demands between home and career might leave little time or energy for romance. You're likely to be at a

crossroads professionally and while your family and partner requires your emotional support, it might feel

impossible to deliver now. In fact, you might not be capable. The boss might have recently made it clear

that you're not as valuable as you thought you were.

A growing sense of discontent in your current relationship situation might require serious changes in the

coming weeks. You might feel as if your lover is cramping your style and your need for personal freedom.

The more you try to assert your desire to experience life the more he or she may try to hold you down. If

this happens, it'll be the kiss of death for you. Do your best to help your partner understand your need for

    expanding your horizons.

Finances will be a priority this week and somehow it'll tie in themes of love and relationship. If you and

your mate are sharing resources, it might be time to assess exactly what is "yours, mine and ours." Venus

will retrograde into your 8th House of Joint Finances on Friday emphasizing this theme until September 6.

You might have a situation during this time where one of you leans more on the other for financial sup-

port, preferably emotional, just try to be understanding. Help if you can, dont if you cant afford to.

    Editor,

I am very proud of the supporters of the flag

who attended the meeting this morning in DFS. It

was clear which side was the most respectful,

both towards the commission and the opposite

side. It was also clear that our side was willing to

try and find a solution, while the other side

    remains intransigent.

Finally, I was so proud of the 4 commissioners

who listened to two hours of debate and spoke

very honestly about their convictions. It took a

great deal of political courage to come this morn-

ing and vote on a subject knowing whichever way

you went would cost you votes. While I did not

agree with Mr. Chapman's stance, it took guts to

say what he did and I applaud his honesty. Like-

wise, Ms. Meadows took a position that many in

her end of the county will be very displeased

with. It took guts for her to stand up and I applaud

her honesty and courage. Mr. Imfeld and Ms

Commander were also very honest with their feel-

ings and patient with the sometimes unruly

    crowd.

I think all 4 showed us this morning that they

are worthy of our respect and appreciation

whether we agree with them or not. This debate is

probably not over and we will continue to need

every supporter of heritage and remembering

history to stand up and be counted.

    Dan Glidewell

    Dear Editor,

It disgusts me how the new idea of America is

soft and worried about feelings, now? Just like

the south not keeping traditions alive, they get

offended over a fn Flag too?

You know what you stand for shows in your

soft character to those who worry about differ-

ences in race? No crap, were different! Tommy

Walton County Tuesday, July 28, Thursday, July

    30 and Friday, July 31 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. as

crews place concrete for the new bridge. Flagmen

will be on site to safely direct traffic through the

    work zone.

so drivers are encouraged to use extra caution

when traveling through the work zone. All

Sergeant Stubby (1916 or 1917 April 4, 1926), was the most deco-

rated war dog of World War I and the only

dog to be promoted to sergeant through com-

bat. America's first war dog, Stubby, served 18

months 'over there' and participated in seven-

teen battles on the Western Front. He saved

his regiment from surprise mustard gas at-

tacks, found and comforted the wounded, and

even once caught a German spy by the seat of

his pants (holding him there till American Sol-

    diers found him).

    WCSO SEARCHES FOR MISSING

WALTON COUNTY MAN Last night WCSO deputies were called to perform a welfare check on 35-

year-old Ryan McMullen who had threatened to harm

himself. It is believed that he went into the woods near

the powerlines north of his home on Winston Manor

Lane. At around 10PM WCSO K9 Kayne began

searching the swampy area in search of McMullen.

Walton CI & Okaloosa CI K9's were brought in and

began tracking around 1:30AM, but were unable to

locate him. We ask that the public keep an eye out for

Ryan as he suffers from epilepsy and his family is con-

cerned for his safety. We hope for his safe return.

Back to School By Rian Lyday

Yes, it is that time againback to school! This summer

has been fast and furious, so what can you do to get ready

for a successful school year? According to the US Depart-

ment of Education, some of the most important tips for

starting the year off right include routines: start going to

bed early, start getting up early, establish nighttime rou-

tines, and get your children reading. Those are self-

explanatory and easy to apply. Here are some tips accord-

ing to me, as a mom and an educator. Start the year off by

getting to know your childs teacher(s). If you have a rela-

tionship from the beginning of the year, it will be easier to

communicate with teachers. We have your children 8

hours out of the weekdaylet us know what your child

needs to ensure a successful year for all of us. Talk, and I

mean really talk, about social issues your child might face

during the year. Social interaction is such a large part of

the school day. Ask your child what their fears are about a

new year and how they might overcome any concerns they

have. Explain to them that teachers are just as nervous

about the new yeartrust me! Get organized BEFORE the

school year starts. The more organized you teach your

child to be, the easier school will be. If your school does

not have a planner, get one and teach your child the right

way to use iteven if it is digital, organization makes life

easier for all of us. Create a homework place. If your child

has a desk at home, fantastic. If not, create a place where

homework is done every night. This helps with organiza-

tion and routine. Remember that the more you plan, the

better the school year transition will be. I know we all get

busy and life does not always run as smooth as we hope

but try to create these small changes and you will thank me

one day. Good luck to everyone starting school, everyone

sending your baby off to school, and everyone educating

the future of our wonderful country. Have a great year!

    The race baiters who jumped

    into action the moment Sandra

    Bland died in police custody

have egg on their faces yet

again, as Blands autopsy re-veals there was no sign of an attack and she had a massive

amount of drugs in her system.

In addition, signs of a possible

    previous suicide attempt were

evident and any signs of injury

    were minor and likely inflicted

    during her arrest. Bland had

been pulled over by police in

    Waller County, Texas, on July

    10. After allegedly assaulting

an officer, she was put in jail.

On July 13, she was found

    hanged in her cell.

    While #BlackLivesMatter

    devotees and other sundry hash-

    tag activists have constructed a

    conspiracy theory narrative

around Blands death mostly because her family didnt think she was suicidal the facts

    havent borne that out.

    Video from the prison showed

    nobody entering her cell from

the time she was last known to

be alive until the time she died.

    In addition, prisoners in adja-

    cent cells reportedly heard no

    struggle in the prison.Now

    comes the autopsy, which re-

vealed that Bland had high lev-

els of marijuana in her blood-

    stream.

    According to Waller County

    prosecutor Warren Diepraam,

Bland would have either had to

    consumed marijuana in her cell

    or ingested massive amounts of

it before her arrest to have that

high a concentration of THC in

    her bloodstream three days after

    her arrest.

In addition, Bland had a num-

ber of cuts on her wrists that

were two to four weeks old,

    indicating Bland may have been

    suicidal long before her arrest.
