From Deacon Brian:
I just want to thank you for your cooperation and patience in regards
to attending mass with all the safety guidelines in place. It is good to
be able to worship again and to receive Eucharist. In these uncertain
times let us continue to check in on our neighbors or those who may
be isolated or shut in. Our outreach, concern, and charity helps re-
flect the image of Christ to others.
I would like to also thank you for your continued financial support of
the parish. The pandemic has hit all of us directly including the
church and your support is so greatly appreciated.
Let us continue to pray for all of our health care workers, our scien-
tists and researchers, and those who are working on vaccines that
God may bless their work and their commitment to others.
Have a blessed week.
Mary Immaculate, our Mother and our Patroness,
we ask you to intercede for us with your Son, as
you did at the wedding in Cana.
Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our
diocese, our nation and our world, for our
families and loved ones, the protection of
your Maternal mantle from this dreaded virus.
In this time of trial and testing, teach all of us
to love one another and to be patient and kind.
Help us to bring the peace and healing
Presence of Jesus to our land and to our hearts.
We come to you with confidence, knowing that you are our com-
passionate mother, health of the sick and cause of our joy. Keep us
in the embrace of your arms. Help us always to know the love of
your Son, Jesus our Lord AMEN.

Have you found the pearl of great price or the treasure in the field?
Have you met Jesus Christ and entered into a relationship with him?
Have you ever met someone so in love with Jesus that they can’t
but help share their faith? We are called to be disciples, to follow
Jesus with our whole heart, soul and mind and then to share what
we have found with all those we meet. Let us ask our Lord to set
our hearts on fire with love for Him and that others may come to
know Him through us.

Environmental Stewardship
Jesus used something as small as a pearl to symbolize something as
great as the Kingdom of God. (Mt. 13:44-52) What small piece of
God’s creation catches your attention today—outdoors or at
mealtime? How might it connect you with the greatness of the Crea-
tor and evoke within you a sense of wonder and praise?

“What Do You Want?” -Bishop Robert Barron
Our first reading for this week is from the first book of Kings, and it
has to do with Solomon, the son of David and Bathsheba, the great
Israelite king who built the temple, and who eventually became a
problematic figure in Israelite history. This passage puts us right at
the very beginning of Solomon’s reign, when he was just a young
man—untried, inexperienced, likely beset by all sorts of self-doubt.
And Yahweh appears to Solomon in a dream and says, “Ask some-
thing of me and I will give it to you.” This is an extraordinary mo-
ment—and let’s attend with some care to Solomon’s answer.
Missionary Projects of the Diocese of Ogdensburg
Missionary Projects of the Diocese of Ogdensburg annual collec-
tion will take place on the weekend of July 25-26, 2020. The 2020
MPDO collection will be used to help with a number of causes this
year. It will support missionary priests and religious who work here
in our diocese: Sisters of Chavanod, Archdiocese of Caceras, Philip-
pines, The Herald of Good News; it will continue to support the
Church in Latin America; it will further our solidarity efforts in the
Diocese of Latakia, provide continued support for our former mis-
sion parish in Mollendo, Peru and lastly, will help any other mission
project throughout the world that Bishop Terry LaValley, deems
appropriate as part of our evangelization efforts. The MPDO collec-
tion provides hope and new life for so many in desperate and immi-
nent need such as those impacted by flood, famine, earthquakes and
war around our world. It can serve as a source of funding in a crisis
or emergency conditions.
The theme of this summer’s MPDO collection is “Maybe we cannot
be together, but together we can make all the difference.”
Our parishes offer prayers for the recipients as we fund missionary
activities. Thank you for sharing in our Missionary Zeal that brings
Christ’s love to those living in developing countries.
