Weekend: Sat. 8:30am & 4:00pm—Vigil; Sun. 8:00, 9:30, 11:00am (Solemn Mass with Incense), 1:00pm Spanish, 5:00pm Latin Ext. Form—Church, Weekday: Mon., Tues., Thurs. & Fri. 7am & 8:30am; Wed. 8:30am & 5:30pm. (Wed. 8:30AM is an all school Mass during the academic year) Eucharistic Adoration: In the Adoration Chapel beginning at 9:15am Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 8pm

Sacraments Reconciliation: (Confession): Sat. 9-9:30am, 3:00-3:30pm or by appointment. Sun. 12:30pm-1:00pm in Spanish. Baptism: Baptism is conferred by appointment on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. At least one parent must be registered and a practicing member of the parish. Parents are requested to call the office (244-4709) to register for the pre-baptism class and date for baptism. Baptism in the Latin Rite, Ext. Form will be done on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 4:00pm by appoint-ment. Marriage: At least one of the parties must be registered and a practicing member of the parish. Please contact the office at least 8 months prior to the proposed date of the wedding. Funeral: Please contact a funeral home and they will notify the parish office. Newcomers/Addresses: Registration online or in business of-fice. Please notify the office with address changes. Parish Library; Please visit the parish library next to the church located in the elevator foyer. The library is open everyday and books are available for check out.

Dear Friends, Great news....St. Anthony has been chosen as one of five pilot churches in the Des Moines Diocese to have a “Safe Haven Sunday,” which is a program to equip families with resources that can protect their children from pornography. Sadly, the average age to be exposed is 10 years old. Then there are the scores of men and women who are addicted to pornography and need deliverance. This is, as you know, a serious problem. Thankfully, the Diocese of Des Moines has brought “Safe Haven Sunday” to our area. This means that one Sunday a year will be dedicated to direct parishioners to specific strategies and resources to protect their families against pornography. While it is an amazing program, it requires some training of parishioners and staff to make it work. The training is only 2 hours long and simply explains how Safe Haven Sunday works, what the resources are, and how to get help if addict-ed. Adam Story and John Gaffney will be conducting the training. If you could join us for the training, that would be wonderful. There is no time commitment after the training. The idea is that people of the parish need to be aware of the materials available and where to direct people if they need help. Training is Wednesday, August 21st at 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM in the lower church--there will be pizza and drinks. (Please call me if you are hesitant for lack of information.) FESTIVAL CHOIR INVITATION

Singers are being invited to take part in the choir at the Mass Honor-ing The Elderly this year at the 10th Annual Italian-American Herit-age Festival Of Iowa. The liturgical celebration will take place Satur-day, July 27th at 4:00 pm on the main stage located in the Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines. Rehearsals will be held on July 21st and 24th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. To participate contact Jim Cacciatore who will direct the choir. He can be reached at jimcaccia-tore@gmail.com.

The Diocese of Des Moines is seeking a high energy, organized individual to provide di-rect support to the Stewardship Department. This full-time position performs a key role in the organization and implementation of fundraising activities for the Diocese of Des Moines. The duties require a high level of service in a team environment and motivation to work independently on a variety of tasks.
