church family update...
We sure are glad to see you this Sunday… More and more of our members are being exposed to Covid-19. It is probably inevitable that we will all be exposed in some way in the coming weeks and/or months. We also expect some of our members to contract this disease sooner or later. The good news is that most cases bring very mild symptoms, but there are deadly exceptions. And we are well aware that there are wide ranging opinions among us about how seriously to take this virus. But in the common interest of our church family, we ask everyone to be guided by some simple ideas:
1. If you feel unsafe in coming to the church building, please know we understand your absence. Please feel free to call the church office to let us know your situation and know also, we stand ready to help you in any way we can.
2. If you are sick in anyway, whether it is just a summer cold, or some other minor illness, we would prefer you stay home rather than come to the building and cough a lot on others.
3. If you are exposed to someone with the virus please be cautious and very thoughtful about how to keep other loved ones as safe as possible. Thanks!
Scott & Karmen Rouse: Please continue prayers for Nichole and her family as her dad continues to have tests and is scheduled for surgery for cancer. Also, for all the families who are unable to be with family members in the hospital.
David & Linda Bruner: Please pray for Bill Henniger, a dear brother from Richland, WA. He is very ill.
Toby & Lisa Schindelbeck: We would like to pray for our President and his team. To keep them safe and bless them with wisdom and discernment in the running of our country. And we are very thankful that the virus death rate is dropping fast.
Dan & Teri Dupey: Pray for all our members. Pray for the virus to subside. Pray for Andy & Darcy’s move. We are thankful for him. Dan’s knee is progressing. Thank you.
Amber Conte: Pray that Paul and I can keep up the good training of our dog, Izzy.
prayers and thanksgivings...
Misty Stemmene: Please keep my best friend, Treeanna in your prayers. Her sister passed away. Also, pray for her mother, Rebecca.
Tom Chaney: Please pray for my surgery to go well on August 21.
Michael & Carmen Lewis: Our son, Shane and his wife, Kim plus their two children (our grandchildren) have been under self-quarantine for the past two weeks as they have all been in contact with those with the virus. Please pray for God’s protection and bless them as they care for one another. Carman’s sister, Treva Vogl had a PET scan that showed the cancer spreading from her liver and now in her lymph nodes, also. She is going for second opinion at MD Anderson. Pray that a helpful procedure will be found and please pray for her healing.
Chris & Nichole Rouse: Please continue to keep Nichole’s dad, Carroll Taylor, in your prayers. He has a PET scan on July 13 and an appointment with the medical oncologist at OU Medical on July 27 to discuss the PET scan results, surgery and treatment options.
Glenn & Judie Sanborn: Praying for Carmen Lewis’s sister, Tre-va. She has been found to have cancer. Prayers for healing, strength, and hope.
Tabby Cutler: Please pray for the churches in CA. It sounds like a hoax-but it is true. The governor has declared singing in worship is not allowed. I saw a post on Facebook from a member from the congre-gation I grew up in about it. They are really struggling with this.
Betty Rude: Prayers for Johnathan, my grandson, for a safe trav-el as he flies back to Tulsa.
AJ Stemmene: Pray for those that care for others—the shut ins and medical professionals. Praise our God for life for however long it may be.
Larry & Jean Grow: The latest cancer results are good. The radiologist is pleased with Larry's progress and will continue to monitor. The urologist will continue with hormone treatments and monitor for the next two years. They both recommend continued isolation. We miss you all. Your continued prayers are truly appreciated.
