Opportunities & Special Events

Come join a new Bible study, for girls only, with the next on being Monday, July 27th. We will be covering topics like self-esteem, body image, and friendship. We will also learn how to connect with

God, and deepen our Christian values. This new group will be held every 2nd & 4th Monday from 7-8:00pm here at the church. If you are interested in participating or for more information please call Samantha at 812-201-4295.

Ladies Night Out Dinner

The next Ladies Night Out will be Tuesday, July 21st at Bobe’s in Sullivan at 6:30pm. The signup sheet is at the Welcome Center or call/text Pam Jennings at 812-240-3042 in

order for her to make reservations. Come join us for food, fun and fellowship!

The Good Twins Concert As a fundraiser for Open Arms Christian Ministries, The Good Twins, from Branson, Missouri, will be here performing on Wednesday, August 26th at 6:30pm. Please come out for good music and fun as we support Open Arms as well.

Also, Open Arms will be holding their 30 Years Celebration on Saturday, August 29th at the Greene County 4-H Fairgrounds. This is an all day event with a Car Show, Kid’s activities, Petting Zoo, Live Music and Speakers Steve & Lori Zellar. Go to their website www.openarmschristian.com for all the details.

Daughters of the King Breakfast The Daughters of the King Ministry will be hosting a breakfast and devotional before the service at 9:00am on Sunday, August 9th. This is open to all

ladies to attend, there is a signup sheet at the welcome center. Please see Misty Hunt for questions.

American Heritage Girls Ministry Are you looking for a way to serve God using your talents, skills, and spiritual gifts to develop girls ages 5-18 to become Christ-centered? American Heritage Girls is a faith-based leadership & character development ministry that is

coming to FBCS & Sullivan County. FBCS has voted to be a Charter Organization for AHG & we are recruiting volunteers to serve in this awesome multi-level scouting ministry. There will be a group going to Love Packages in Butler, Ill on August 29th to serve in their ministry for the day. We are allowed to have 20 volunteers and it’ll be on

a first come basis for those wanting to go. If you’re interested in participating, please see Misty Hunt for details. We will also be holding a Bible drive and if you have any Christian books or materials you’d like to donate, we will be taking all of that over with us. There will be a box in the foyer labeled Love Packages to place the donated Bibles and other Christian materials.

Sullivan County Recovery Group Recovery: The process of taking back something you’ve lost. The Sullivan County Recovery Group meet on Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm, here in the choir room. If you, or someone you know, has a

hurt, habit or hang-up, such as addiction, a loss due to death or divorce, or a behavior/habit in your life that you know is not beneficial to you or your relationships, there is hope and help here. Rediscover who God created you to be and recover the amazing life that HE planned for you!
