When I stopped into the biology lab with Steve Benson on the way home fromschool and he put a huge water snake in the aquarium. The next day in biologyclass Mr Faust spent most of the period discussing what a sick individual it takesto do something like that. Most of the fish had be eaten. I miss Steve,he really knew how to turn a average day into a good time!

Having kids, being the best man at my son's wedding, and meeting a wonderful womanwho is determined to keep me from being a "stick-in-the-mud" or "old fuddy-duddy" as Iapproach my dotage. Do you have any idea how far outside my comfort zone it was to join984 other people in a BareNaked photo?

Two boys and a girl, though if you look at the kids' birth certificates, it was threeboys. Turns out that if a clerk at City Hall decides that "Sarah Michelle" is a boy'sname and marks "Male" on a birth certificate, they will not issue a new birthcertificate. You get a little addendum to staple to the birth certificate that sayssomething to the effect of "ooops - ignore the birth certificate, Sarah Michelle isreally a girl".

Grandchildren?Three girls and two boys. The kids range in age from 2 to 6, though I swear two ofthe girls are 6, going on 16.

Hobbies/Interests

Playing my saxophone, puttering around (either making web sites or doingwoodworking), and meeting people. Actually, the fact that I enjoy meeting peopleis a good thing, 'cause as my C.R.S. (Can't Remember Squat) gets worse, Isometimes meet people for the first time over and over (and over) again.


Too many to describe in detail. The ones I've retold the most over the years involve afriend getting hit by a car that ran a stop sign while we were riding bikes (the best part wasafter he got up, yelling and screaming at the car's driver, and gave her the finger. I canstill picture her very primly saying "young man, I don't appreciate your attitude!"); anotherfriend being brought home drunk at 8 PM on New Year's Eve (some of our classmatesreally knew how to party hearty, eh?); and having a classmate ask a me and a friend to tpher house (we got caught in the act. I hid while my friend ran down the block. When myfriend ran across the street I heard someone say "there goes one of them - can you seewho it is?" And someone else replied "It's Rob Fish." Geeezzzz... it obviously was NOTme, though I did not step out of hiding to correct their misperception.) High school wasfilled with good times (even including the time we got arrested for climbing on top of thehigh school in preparation of painting a huge white "71" on the black gym roof).


I didn't realize it at the time, but my favorite teacher was the band director, Mr. Griffin(though we had several less-than-complementary nicknames for him). He pushed us, keptus on our toes (had to look out for those flying batons and erasers), and would acceptnothing but our best. I had a lot of really good teachers in Whitehall, but with the benefitof a lot of years of hindsight, I think Mr. Griffin was my favorite.


Spend more quality time with people in our class. We have a lot of reallywonderful folks in the Class of '71, and I missed out on a lot by not getting tobetter know many of them.


When we were in high school, I once ran the second mile of a cross country meetin less than 5 minutes. While my brain tells me that I should still be able to run amile in less than 5 minutes, my body says "no way, Jose." It is that way with a lotof stuff - my brain tells me that I'm the same as I was in high school, but my bodydisagrees. Everyone knows I'm older, fatter, and slower than I used to be, but Isure don't feel that way.


There's a book by Elissa Stein called "Prom Night, the best night of your life." Itis filled with high school prom photos of couples from the late 60's on. It is a lotof fun to browse through the book and laugh at the fashions of the day. One ofthe photos in the book that people get to laugh at is of me and Paula on ourSenior Prom Night. If you ever see the book, take a look and see if you can findus!

Ultrasound scanning is a physically challenging occupation, especially in ahospital setting. It has given me cause for several surgeries/joint repair etc. Asfar as senior moments..ahhhh...yes I have two dogs....no wait..what did you say?lol


I really have no desire to go back to anytime. God has granted me a life to useand to serve and I have enjoyed it all. I am looking forward to new challenges andexperiences...with the kids, with possible retirement and with my wonderfulhusband. To lose any weight at all I found out the hard way I have to first lower cortisol andraise serotonin at least a week before starting stimulants. If I don't, the cortisolfrom the stimulants shoot up and block my efforts time and time again. It's all abalancing act with the hormones, I guess.

I love being the aunt with bail money. Shocking my daughter in the CoastGuard...her career depends on our behavier. I decided when I was 50 I was goingto have some big fun. We own a home in Costa Rica and may one day be able tobe there 6 months and here 6 months. Bobbi and Costa Rica are mucho problemo.

My mom lives in a senior retirement community & I'm there visiting a lot. One daythey had seniors from another center square-dancing as entertainment...and theyMADE me dance w/them!That's my story and I'm sticking to it.


My mom is an inspiration to me...she's still enjoying a full life at 86... What I lovemost about her is her positive attitude.

I would be more satisfied with who I am and not focused on not measuring up tovery "high school" standards. I hope that means I would take myself lessseriously, take a few more risks and enjoy myself more.


Sandwiched between aging parents and disabled son, but I guess that is a joy aswell as a responsibility.
