COMPLAINT

The Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission brings this

Complaint against Judge Jo Celeste Pettway, District Judge

of Wilcox County, Alabama. The facts and charges upon

which this complaint is based, averred separately and

severally, are as follows:

NATURE OF THE CHARGES

1. Jo Celeste Pettway (hereinafter "Judge Pettway")

took office as a district judge of Wilcox County, Alabama

on or about August 4, 1984, and continues to serve in that

capacity. In her capacity as District Judge, Judge Pettway
