Starting on the shop floor as a machinist I learned punch programming from the ground up.

This part was drawn with sheet metal programming software froma paper blueprint.Bend reliefs and flanges are customized for forming andwelding ease.

Merry Mechanization Sheet Metal Programming SoftwareParts are drawn within the software or downloaded from other sources.

• The part on the right is an armrest structure for an airline seat. This is a replacement part for a seat that was in need of repair.

Cad used with sheet metal programming softwareThe nesting of parts and material conservation are always in the forefront. Standard sheet sizes andpunches are basic cost savers.

• These parts were developed from formed geometry drawn on Unigraphics .

Upstream and downstream awareness.

Proper blank sizes need to be assessed in regard to material availability.Below: Forming tabs added to aid in the bending operation.

• Successful punching operations always incorporate designs to better facilitate down stream operations.
