1. Start PowerPoint. From your student files, open p07_FirstAid_Training.

2. Click File tab, and in Backstage view, click Save As. In the Save As dialog box, navigate to your PowerPoint Chapter 7 folder. In the File name box, name the file Lastname_Firstname_p07_FirstAid_Training

3. Below the File name box, click the Save as type box arrow, and then click JPEG FileInterchange Format as shown in Figure 1.

4. In the Save As dialog box, click Save. Read the displayed message, and then click EverySlide. Read the next message that displays, and then click OK.

5. Close PowerPoint.

6. Start Word. From your student files, open p07_FirstAid_Posting. Place the insertion pointto the right of the paragraph Please post in a visible area. and then press J.

7. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Picture. In the Insert Picture dialogbox, navigate to your PowerPoint Chapter 7 folder, and then locate the folder namedLastname_Firstname_p07_FirstAid_Training. Double-click to open the folder, and thencompare your screen with Figure 2.

A folder named Lastname_Firstname_p07_FirstAid_Training was created when thePowerPoint slides were converted to JPEG pictures. The individual graphics files aresaved inside the folder.

8. Double-click Slide 2 to insert the graphic into the Word document.

9. With the picture selected, on the Format tab, in the Size group, use the arrows to changethe Shape Height to 2.8"

10. Click to the bottom, right of the newly inserted picture so that your insertion point displaysat the corner of the graphic, and then press J two times.

11. Repeat the technique just practiced to insert the JPEG file named Slide 3 below the Slide 2file in the Word document.

12. Change the image’s Shape Height to 2.8" Move the insertion point after the graphic, andthen press J two times. Select the top slide and on the Home tab, in the Paragraphgroup, click Center. Repeat the same process to center the second slide.

13. On the File tab, click Save As. Save the file in your PowerPoint Chapter 7 folder asLastname_Firstname_p07_FirstAid_Posting

14. On the Insert tab, in the Header & Footer group, click the Footer button. Near the bottomof the displayed list, click Edit Footer. Verify the insertion point is in the footer at the bottom of the page.

15. On the Design tab, in the Insert group, click the Quick Parts button. From the displayedlist, click Field. Under Field names, use the vertical scroll bar to locate and click theFileName field. Click OK.

16. Double-click anywhere outside the footer to close the footer area. Save the document.

17. On the View tab, in the Zoom group, click the One Page button, and then compare withFigure 3.

18. If you are printing your work, print the Word document. Exit Word, and then submit yourfile as directed.
