PENTAFLEX® KB elements are finished on both sides with a special coating.

The connection of the special coating to the fresh concrete reliably prevents water infiltrating the joint system.

A concrete covering of 30 mm is enough to withstand a water pressure of 5.0 bar.

PENTAFLEX® ABS formwork element is a combination of metal waterstop and profiled formwork.

The joint sealing is secured by the established PENTAFLEX® KB.

A rigid and dimensionally stable metal mesh construction can be prefabricated in a range of profiles.

Hydrophilic waterstops

• Sodium bentonite based materials, designed to stop water infiltration through insitu concrete construction joints.

• Sodium bentonite swells when in contact with water, forming an impermeable barrier.

• The swelling property allows the waterstop to form a permanent pressure seal within the concrete joint, thus eliminating water migration over or along the waterstop.

• Designed to replace passive PVC/Rubber type waterbars, thereby eliminating the requirement of special pieces and seam welding.

• NOT designed, nor intended to function, as an expansion joint sealant.
