Keadaan ini mungkin memakan waktu beberapa minggu setelah keluar dari rumah sakit, oleh karena itu keluarga bayi agar mendapat pengarahan yang diperlukan untuk menjalani sirkumsisi rawat jalan.

Bertepatan dengan kecenderungan yang terjadi, peneliti telah mencatat peningkatan jumlah laki-laki yang berkembang menjadi fimosis setelah menjalani sirkumsisi sesaat setelah lahir.
