forward. It is of utmost importance, and an absolute

necessity that engineers, technicians and business heads

associated with the shipping industry met periodically, meet

It is with this understanding that ShipTek conferences are

conceived, planned and organized by MarineBizTV, every

year. The venue for Shiptek 2008, the first of the series, was

none other than Cochin, the queen of Arabian Sea.

Revolution in Marine and Offshore IndustryTfeatured paper presentations by eminent

personalities from the industry, providing the

platform to exchange information, showcase the

latest technical innovations, explore collaborations,

highlight business opportunities and take stock of

trends and issues at the heart of future strategies,

especially at this very critical time of global

recession. The conference dealt with the hottest

issues from the maritime industry. The conference

attracted topnotch delegates from across the

maritime fraternity, who share and initiate to re-

affirm the maritime industry that the current

economic crisis is only another tidal wave to

overcome.

ShipTek Expo 2009 was the ideal platform to

unlock marine business potential to the global

market. ShipTek Expo comprised of 60 stalls.

Exhibitants participated had entitled to fabulous

opportunities to showcase their products. There

was a wide range of participation from the

renowned maritime regions like South East Asia,

Middle East, Europe and Indian Subcontinent.
