DEFINITION Paraplegia describes complete or

incomplete paralysis affecting the legs and possibly the trunk but not the arms. It is the result to damage to the spinal cord at T1 and below.

WHAT IT CAUSES Things that may start Paraplegia are:

Broken neck, Broken back, Stroke, Spinal cord injury, Genetic disorder, Congenital (present at birth), Infection, Tumor, Syrinx.
