Tuesday 4 June 2019:

We assemble mid-afternoon at OR Tambo before departing early evening for our flight to

Spain. Golf bag carriage is (as usual) included, so no need to stress about excess baggage.

Wednesday 5 June 2019:

Landing in Malaga on the Costa del Sol, we board our private air-conditioned coach for a

relaxing and scenic drive to Marbella, the hub of the Costa del Sol. Our hotel is situated less

than two hundred meters from the beach and the endless restaurants, bars and nightclubs

which line the beachfront. Being an apartment hotel, each room is incredibly spacious and

has a small kitchenette and balcony… perfect for snacks and drinks or lazing in the sun.

After checking in and allowing everyone a bit of time to unpack, freshen up, etc, we’ll take

an “orientation walk” around Marbella and get everyone up to speed on where things are

(like ATM’s, shops, the old town, the marina) and then go in search of Sangria to ease into our

time on the Costa del Sol with an early night.

Thursday 6 June 2019:

Today (after a slow breakfast) we head off in our private, air-conditioned coach and visit Mijas

Pueblo. The enchanting village is a fascinating labyrinth of whitte buildings and cobbled streets

perched tightly against the mountainside.

There’ll be time to explore the endless ceramic and leather shops, sample the variety of tapas

bars, visit the square bullring and bullfighting museum, as well as enjoy the stunning views down

the coast and across the Mediterranean.

We’ll head back after lunch for an afternoon and evening at leisure. Be it exploring Marbella

Old Town, heading to the beach, enjoying ice cream along the boardwalk, sipping sangria or

relaxing at the hotel pool, we’re sure you’ll be totally relaxed by the end of today.

Friday 7 June 2019:

We kickstart our golfing programme today with a round at the superb El Paraiso Golf Club.

Feeling a little like home, El Paraiso is one of the most established courses on the Costa del Sol.

With the backdrop of the majestic La Concha mountain to the north and Mediterranean to

the south, this Gary Player-designed course has the reputation of not only providing one of the

best championship layourts on the coast, but all being the friendliest.

Saturday 8 June 2019:

We head off for a full day excursion today. Our first stop is Ronda. Famously split by a deep

gorge and connected by an unbelievable bridge, this mountaintop town is famous for its

leather and you’re sure to find what you’re looking for.

If photography is your thing, then this is the perfect place for endless photo opportunities, from

the architecture to the landscapes below. With everything it has to offer along with a

seemingly endless selection of restaurants and tapas bags, it is easy to understand why it’s one

of Spain’s Top 3 attractions.

Mid-afternoon we head down to the coast and visit Puerto Banus… home of fancy cars,

superyachts, designer brands and playground of the rich & famous. After a stroll around the

marina (and some quality gelato), we’ll head up to Benahavis.

Dating as far back at the 11th century, Benahavis has an abundance of places to eat and has

been dubbed the dining room of the Costa del Sol, serving every pallet and wallet. Typical

food in the area comprises seafood, rice and meats, especially pork.

Sunday 9 June 2019:

Today is a day off… so whether you wish to head to Gibraltar (UK passport or visa required),

play an additional round of course, soak up the sun or head off shopping, it’s for you to do

exactly as you wish.

Monday 10 June 2019:

It’s golf again today and we head to Mijas Golf Club and take on their Los Lagos course,

designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr, with it’s soft slopes, wide fairways and few forest trees

obstacles. However, watch out for the many bunkers and nine lakes (hence the name) set to

protect the large and relatively flat greens. Known for the outstanding condition of their two

courses, friendly atmosphere and excellent service, the club is one of our favourite and

incredibly popular in Europe as a whole.

Tuesdsay 11 June 2019:

Today is a holiday in Marbella!!! Saint Barnabis Day is an annual festival, and you’ll see the

town fill up with ladies in Flamenca dresses, wine bars and sangria bars open up, dance

demonstrations and parties galore. It really is a celebration of the Spanish culture and way of

life… so be sure to get involved and have fun with the locals.

Wednesday 12 June 2019:

For our final round of golf, we head to Los Naranjos Golf Club… another masterpiece by Robert

Trent Jones Sr and considered to be one of the best courses in Spain which has received the

award for “Course of the year” on the Costa del Sol on several occassions. It has certainly

been a favourite among our groups over the years, with it’s generous fairways and stunning

clubhouse and views.

Thursday 13 June 2019:

You have the morning free to get that last minute shopping and sightseeing done, or a dip in

the Mediterranean and work on that mid-year suntan.

At lunch time, we depart for the airport to start our homeward journey. We take a short flight

to Paris, and after time to stretch your legs and enjoy some champagne and maccaroons…

before we take the late night flight from Paris back to Johannesburg.

Friday 14 June 2019:

After hopefully a good night’s sleep onboard, we arrive back in Johannesburg mid-morning…

allowing plenty time for those with onward flights to other cities in Johannesburg.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND TOUR CONDITIONS: Price: The price of the tour is subject to Standard Terms and Conditions, exchange rates and airfares and taxes at time of final payment. Only EFT

payments are accepted (NO credit card payments). The price of the package is based on a minimum of 20 passengers and a reduction in this

number may lead to a price adjustment for the tour package.

Deposit and Payment: A deposit of R4500,00 PER PERSON is payable on booking and is not refundable unless in the case of the cancellation of the

tour by the tour operators. You are therefore encouraged to take out travel insurance which includes a cancellation clause. A tour package

statement will be e-mailed to you approximately 2 months (60-70 days) prior to departure and the full package price is payable within 72 hours (3

days) of presentation. No cancellations can be accepted after 10 weeks (70 days) prior to departure, and the full relevant package price for the tour

is payable if cancellations are received after this date. If the booking is made 10 weeks or less before departure date, the full contract price is to be

paid at the time of booking and may be subject to late ticket issue fees from the airline. A late payment fee of R250 per person will be charged

automatically on all accounts not settled by the stipulated date. By signing these Terms & Conditions, the passenger confirms he/she understands

that the Land Arrangement portion of the package will be deductible from the travel allowance which forms part of their single discretionary

allowance of R1-million per annum, as per Soith African Exchange Control rulings.

Itinerary: The itinerary details are subject to airline timetable changes, as well as weather and technical influences.

Handicaps: All golfers must be able to provide proof of handicap if required by golf clubs while on tour. We may apply the Nomads adjustment

system if and when required.

Passport, Visas & Health requirements: We provide basic advice to South African passport holders regarding visa requirements. Clients travelling

on a passport of a different nationality should check with their embassy or consulate and must make sure they have all the necessary valid travel

and health documents to comply with the requirements of the country they are visiting or travelling through. Clients are advised to travel on one

passport for the duration of the tour to ensure compliance with the latest travel regulations. All passports must be valid for at least 6 months after

your scheduled date of return home.

Liabilities: The Golf Travel Company and/or their agents, in making arrangements for air and land services, act as agents only and on condition that

they shall not be liable for any injury, death, damage, loss, accidental delay or irregularity that may be occasioned by any defect in any vehicle or

form of conveyance or mishap at any place of accommodation, or for any reason whatsoever.

Travel Insurance: Passengers are advised to have travel insurance for injury, death, accident and medical expenses, enforced pre-tour cancellation

and loss of luggage.

Changes to bookings: In the event of a change being made to your flight arrangements, including post-tour extensions and breakaways, an

additional fee will be charged by the operating airline. Please consult our office for this additional charge which varies by airline and destination.

Contact Details: It is the responsibility of the client to notify The Golf Travel Company if the client’s contact details chnage, including e-mail addess,

street address and contact telephone number. The Golf Travel Company shall not be liable for any claims of any nature whatsoever resulting from

non-notification of the e-mail and/ or street address changes.

Special requests and contact with hotels and airlines: The Golf Travel Company shall forward all special requests received to the relevant hotel and

/ or airline / golf club when requested, but cannot accept responsibility for non-delivery on the part of the supplier. Under no circumstances may

the client make contact in any manner with hotels and airlines as this is expressly forbidden by hotels and airlines in the group booking contract. All

requests must be routed via The Golf Travel Company for forwarding to the relevant party.

Cancellations and Refunds: No refund can be made for visits, sightseeing, meals, transfers, accommodation, golf or other services included in the

tour price which were not utilized. Should the client wish to cancel for whatever reason, The Golf Travel Company must be advised in writing under

the signature of the customer. No air tickets will be issued until full and final payment is received and the airline’s late ticket issue levy will apply in

the event of late payment.

Medical Certificate: A doctor’s certificate confirming good health will be required for passengers 65 years and older.

Golf cars: The Golf Travel Company will book golf cars when requested to do but cannot accept responsibility for availability or restrictions on use

on the day due to inclement weather or club restrictions

Bookings: The Golf Travel Company reserves the right to decline any booking, at the time it is made, without stating the reason for the non-

acceptance of the bookings. Any deposit made for a declined booking will be refunded in full.

Acceptance of terms & conditions: This signed booking form will be deemed to be acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. No booking can be

confirmed until the completed and signed form is received and the deposit reflects on The Golf Travel Company’s bank statement.
