Roxana Volunteer Fire Company

Throughout our Cadet Program, members will

be mentored through various team building

activities that ultimately will enhance their char-

acter and leadership potential.

Through mentoring the

Cadets will:

Some of the activities that a Cadet can look for-

ward to enjoying include:

∗ Hands-on TRAINING to include: First-Aid,

CPR/AED, & Basic firefighting skills

∗ Volunteering at events such as: Fire Safety

days, Fireworks events, & events at the fire-

house

∗ Riding FIRE TRUCKS in parades, both lo-

cally and throughout Delmarva

∗ RECOGNITION & AWARDS during Fire

Company picnics, banquets, & throughout

school

VOLUNTEER

The Roxana Volunteer Fire Company prides itself in volunteer-

ism. Joining our Cadet team will allow you to learn and under-

stand what it takes to be a volunteer and to serve the community.

LEARN

As a Cadet in the Roxana Volunteer Fire Company a team of

Mentors will assist you in gaining a large amount of knowledge

and skill. Some of the skills and knowledge we will teach you are

First-Aid skills, methods of fire safety, and leadership values.

ACHIEVE

Through our Cadet Program, not only will you gain a new set of

skills and values, but you will achieve recognition and pride.

Volunteer Firefighters are recognized around the World for their

values, commitments, and impact. As a Cadet you will achieve

recognition within our community, throughout the firefighting

community, and in our local schools.

Parents/Guardians

Although parents/guardians are not required to volunteer their

time to the program, we love to get our member’s family in-

volved. These volunteers are instrumental in the success of the

program and because our members love to share their Cadet

experiences with their families, the RVFC Cadet program offers

many ways for family members to get involved. Parent/ Guardi-

ans may choose to participate as little or as much as they would

like. Some even choose to become members of the RVFC either

by becoming an active member, joining the association or an

auxiliary member.
