God’s WORLDThe Arts & Sciences core challenges you to understand and appreciate the world around you through the exploration of the natural and social sciences, history, literature, philosophy, and the fine arts. Our faculty seeks to fulfill the Great Commission by helping you become “Two-Handed Warriors” for the harvest: men and women of God committed to both the life of the mind and the life of the Spirit.

Johnson students are equipped for both faith-building and culture making, and they work as intellectuals, artists, ministers, philanthropists, and leaders in every facet of society. You’ll be prepared with the knowledge and skills you’ll need to think biblically, critically, and creatively in a variety of contexts. Your Arts and Sciences Core challenges you to be Christ-like in your thoughts and actions as you explore your place in the world.

God’s WORDAt the core of each Johnson University undergraduate degree is a substantive study of the Bible. Through a systematic study of the Old and New Testaments, you’ll be prepared for strategic professions in the pursuit of Christ’s Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.

We equip each person to become an informed, thoughtful, and purposeful student of God’s Word who can be salt and light in the world. Our professors are a knowledgeable, passionate, and creative team of scholar-teachers who have dedicated their lives to knowing and communicating God’s good news. The heart of Johnson’s distinct mission and curriculum lies in this rigorous biblical foundation, preparing students to explore the best way to nurture their unique passion and calling.

A Community Brought Together in WORSHIP Three days a week, the campus takes a corporate breath by engaging with God and each other in prayer, worship, and teaching. Chapel is an integral part of the Johnson experience and offers an intentional blend of faculty and student leadership. Every Wednesday, faculty members and staff lead small groups on a wide range of topics including literature, social justice, songwriting, and more.

A Community Brought Together in LEADERSHIP Faculty members of Johnson University demonstrate a rare combination of practical experience, world-class instruction, and a student-centered approach to discipleship. Even as they engage in rigorous academic pursuits, faculty members invite students into their homes and lead on-campus clubs.

A Community Brought Together in SERVICE Students can dive deep into their communities and studies by applying classroom principles in the real world through the Service & Learning Together Program. Over the course of four years, students spend more than 120 hours outside the classroom, serving the communities, ministries, and causes they care about.

NATHAN BEARD (JUFL ‘19)Campus life at JUFL is a practical example of Christians living out what it means to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself. It is a great feeling to know that you are surrounded by people who encourage you in your faith.
