Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical

Center Sends Delegation to the US Secretary Of Labor’s Opportunity Awards

Receipt of the EVE Award was celebrated system wide, symbolic of Johns Hopkins Institutions’ commitment to diversity, inclusion, and Equal Opportunity in recruitment, hiring and development.

Honorees were asked to provide a large display representing their ongoing efforts, promotional materials, and communications supporting Equal Opportunity in the Workplace. Members of Human Resources were on hand to share best practices with other attendees.

A Bayview Director networks with another awardee and shares ideas, getting an opportunity to learn about other creative ways to attract diverse candidate pools and retain high performing employees.

Lisa Filbert, Donna Gavin and Sandy Reckert – all Directors at JHBMC, greet visitors to the booth.

Janet Harding, Coordinator of Diversity and Inclusion and Michele Sedney, Director of Employment and Affirmative Action Officer, staff the display table.

Former Johns Hopkins Bayview President Gregory Schafer and Health System President Ronald R. Peterson Accept the Secretary of Labor’s EVE

Award for Promoting Equal Opportunity in the Workplace.
