John Tyler’s Accomplishments John Tyler was the tenth president of the
United States of America. (1841–1845) He was Vice President but when William
Henry Harrison died John Tyler then succeeded him.

John Tyler’s Background John Tyler was born on March 29, 1790. He went to elite College of William and
Mary in Virginia at age 12. Tyler served as a State Legislator,
governor, U.S. representative, and U.S.senator before being elected Vice President.
