Co-operation With FBI District Officers New Cap Regulations

More than 5,000 American Legion posts have been conla�Led. by . the Fe-deral Bureau of Invest1gaL1on smce November, 1940, in the program of co-operation then worked out between it and the commission for co-opera­tion, and more than 42,000 Legion­naires now are voluntarily giving as­sistance in the effort lo make Ameri­ca internally secure, Chairman O'Neil reported. During the coming months the other 6,000 posts will be contact­ed and the µrogram of co-operation with the FBI further enlarged. Lee Penning'on, inspector in the national FBI headquarters in Washington, has been designated to direct the plans of co-operation with The Amer­can Legion during 194,2.
