Bisected by a long, flowing greenway, Regent’s Park, inspired by the dramatic curve of Regent’s Street in London, blends traditional homes, townhomes, and commercial retail into a vibrant walkable community. The 11 public parks and multiple nature trails offers an array of opportunities for all ages and types to find their own place in the community or enjoy the preserved hardwood forest.

Inspired by the music of Dave Brubek and his union of classical training and modern improvisation. The Lowe’s median improvement uses lines based on the wave-lengths of musical harmony, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/7, 1/8. The hedges create a rhythm that moves the customer toward the door, and the three major areas of interest. Two of the areas will be southern-style plantings, while the third, central area will be provide a set to “improvise” product demonstrations.

Monteverde, Costa Rica

A high intensity development in an ecologically sensi-tive area of Costa Rica. The Monteverde design was able to achieve a highly profitable development while pre-serving large tracts of forest by creating large lots with a development envelopes that preserved the ecologocially important areas of their lots.

The design remains socially accountable to people and culture of Costa Rica by creating a “Calle Principal” with a café, farmer’s market, a convenient store and 6 middle-income homes to provide community and income for property caretakers and families living in the area. The adjacent eco-lodge will take advantage of the grand views, and provide a seasonal income stream. The remaining property will be developed with 13 large, sustainably developed lots with homes with an average market value of $350,000. Increasing the total property value to $6,850,000.

Atlanta Highway

The Atlanta Highway Design explored different oppor-tunities for long-term development of a “big box store” business district of Athens, GA. Inspired by the Big Dig and George Hargreaves 6th St. Bridge over the Los Angeles River, we provided the fresh concept of a land-bridge covering the exisitng commercial area. Complete with paths, gardens, forest, and bike lanes this solution reimagines thie areas pastoral history, while beautiful-ly stitching the two residential areas together, and still provides a thoroughfare for traffic

Always following my insatiable thirst to fill gaps in my understanding of the world, my free-time is spent on hand-crafted projects, travel to developing countries, and spending time with my wife and daughter. At the age of 20, I had saved enough money to spend 4 months alone, travelling through 10 different countries in East and Southern Africa. Mostly by public transportation, and on a shoe-string budget, I began to immerse my-self into the African way of life. The success of that trip has led me to immersion travel in over 20 different countries on multiple continents including India, Asia, Central America and the Carribean. I am very grateful for my experiences, and intend to return to those places with new skills to share.
