The Supply Planning Manager is a pivotal role in the Lubricants Supply Chain organization. The role is the interface between Planning, Logistics, Operations and Sales in the short term horizon. The Supply Planning Manager manages a team with clear accountabilities for stock availability and inventory costs and owns the key levers to control these deliverables. This team use their central point in the supply chain to anticipate supply failures in a timely manner and proactively initiate mitigating actions. Position description Purpose: The purpose of the Supply Planning Manager is to ensure that planning supply chain objectives of strong OTIF (customer service KPI) at lowest cost and inventory are met and to ensure that the Supply planning of LSC is conducted in the most effective and efficient manner to deliver these aims. This role is crucial to managing the interface between ever changing customer requirements and the short term capability of supply chain to meet these needs. As such, the incumbent must be familiar with the supply chain to generate enterprise first supply solutions to meet immediate customer requirements leading to greater customer satisfaction. The role holder leads the Middle East Supply Planning team, which includes Production Planning, and is accountable for the integration and effectiveness of each of its component parts. The role holder will lead his/her supply planning team to optimise the integrated endtoend performance of the supply chain. He/she manages on behalf of LSC the relationship with Sales and Marketing and customers at tactical and operational levels, in the zero to 2 month time horizon. Accountabilities:

OTIF: Accountable for driving OTIF performance ahead of target levels across the Cluster byensuring the right products are in the right locations in the right quantities at the right time. Resolution of supply issues: The SPM drives timely interventions with operations, logistics, salesand marketing and customer service to prevent OTIF failures and ensures customer satisfaction bydoing what is necessary to expedite activities that support our service commitment to customers.Leads Operations Forum to align with sales and OTC on short term supply issues and solutions.Process improvement: Owns and drives process improvement in the short term time horizon (zeroto 2 months) including but not limited to short term adjustment process, short term forecastcorrection process, large order filter process, OTIF root cause analysis.Short term adjustments: Signs off short term adjustments requested by sales team ensuring thatthey can be delivered OTIF without adversely affecting other customers OTIF performance.Inventory: Accountable for managing inventory levels for the Cluster, the SPM will lead the SupplyPlanners in continuous improvement and of inventory holding across the endtoend supply chainensuring high customer service with least working capital.STEMs: The SPM will manage a Short Term Event Management in the Cluster SKUs balancingshort term supply and demand and working with sales to minimise disruption and impact oncustomers.Performance Review and Management: The SPM is accountable for the supply chain performanceas measured by agreed KPIs including but not limited to back orders, master and transactionaldata, late deployment orders, inventory in control, deployment lot size optimisation.He/she leads the OTIF root cause analysis and various crossfunctional forums with LSC andSales and Marketing representation focusing on OnTime In Full performance and CustomerSatisfaction Index performance.Stakeholder management: In the short term (zero to 2 month) time horizon works with keystakeholders such as Sales Managers and Sales Team Leads to optimise ways of workingtogether to improve Customer OTIF and reduce costs Team leadership: Actively coach and support the professional development of team members, andensure team members are motivated and stretched.HSSE: The role holder will also be required to show leadership on HSSE, driving their team toachieve Goal Zero and taking HSSE considerations into account when taking decisions.

Over the last years, LSC has successfully turned around the operational delivery performance byaddressing the fundamentals of operations and planning. The challenge now is to build on thismuch improved foundation in order to become a competitive advantage for Global Commercialand drive value in partnership with sales.To achieve this, the successful candidate will require strong business acumen, extensive supplychain management experience, solid process orientation, good attention to detail and a passionfor high customer service. They will need extensive people management experience to lead,support, coach and develop their team (who are located in different locations across thegeography), whilst managing key senior stakeholders.Speed and agility in responding to changing customer demands, identifying and driving throughshort term supply solutions leading to high OTIF is critical to success in this role. Importantly therole holder will need to lead a team and deliver through others in a dynamic, fast paced anddemanding environment, engender a sense of urgency in others, and drive quick decision making.The role offers a great opportunity to make a real difference with a positive, action focusedapproach.

 

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications required:

Stakeholder management experience.People management experience.Strong record of results delivery against stretched targets.Proven and broad set of leadership competences.Supply Chain management experience, with a preference for Planning.Lubes Business experience is an advantage.Experience with integrated SAP/ERP systems and in particular Supply Chain Planning Tools(APO) is an advantage.HSSE experience and leadership.
