The Housing Authority of Burkesville will re-ceive sealed bids for site work improve-ments under the Capital Fund Program No.KY055P0358215-18 in Cumberland County,Kentucky.
Bids will be received until 10:30 a.m., prevailingtime on Tuesday August 27, 2019, at the officeof the Housing Authority of Burkesville, 401 Sun-set Drive, Burkesville, Kentucky 42717, at whichtime and place all bids will be publicly openedand read aloud.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on TuesdayAugust 20, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., prevailing timeat the Housing Authority of Burkesville, 401Sunset Drive, Burkesville, Kentucky 42717.The Pre-Bid Meeting will include a site walk-through.
Proposal forms and contract documents, in-cluding plans and specifications, are on fileat the Housing Authority of Burkesville mainoffice 401 Sunset Drive, Burkesville, Ken-tucky 270-864-5111.
Copies of the documents may be obtainedon August 5, 2019, at the Housing Authorityof Burkesville at 401 Sunset Drive,Burkesville, Kentucky 42717 by depositing acheck in the amount of $120.00 payable toBurkesville Housing Authority for each setof documents obtained. Such deposit will berefunded to each bidder who returns the plans,specifications and other documents in goodcondition to the Housing Authority within four-teen (14) days after bid opening. All plans mustbe returned by all bidders, successful or not, forthe deposit to be refunded.
Bidders must obtain a signed and sealed hardcopy set of the bidding documents, including bidform, from the Housing Authority of Burkesvilleto submit a bid for this project.
In accordance with Clause No. 9 (Bid Guaran-tee), of the Instructions to Bidders, all bids mustbe accompanied by a negotiable bid guaranteein the form of a certified check or bank draft,payable to Housing Authority of Burkesville, U.S.Government Bonds at par value, or a satisfac-tory bid bond executed by the Bidder and ac-ceptable sureties in an amount equal to fivepercent (5%) of the bid. The surety companymust be authorized to do business in the statewhere the project is located and must be ac-ceptable of the Government. If the bid guaran-tee is not submitted with the bid, the PHA willreject the bid.
The successful bidder will be required to furnishand pay for satisfactory performance and pay-ment bond or bonds in accordance with ClauseNo. 10, Assurance of Completion, of the Instruc-tions to Bidders.
Attention is called to the provisions for equalemployment opportunity and that payment ofnot less than the minimum salaries and wagesas set forth in the Specifications must be paidon this project. Any state rate that exceeds thecorresponding federal rate is inapplicable andshall not be enforced. All bidders shall submitwith each bid, the Contractor’s Affirmative ActionCertification to comply with the provision ofequal employment opportunity.
