Awatere River Road Bridge - 2 lane, 275 metre bridge consisting of 11 no. 25 metre spans, precast U beams and insitu deck bridge founded on 1900mm diameter x 14 metre deep drilled cassion piles, opened holed in papa / sandstone formation, and constructed over alluvial river. Seddon Rail Underpass – precast components constructed rail over bridge with precast pier cap at 140 ton, abutment at 400 ton, and L beams of 700 ton. Foundations consisted of 6 no. 900mm diameter x 32 metre deep drilled piles. Rail bridge was assembled on a 48 hour rail closure. Daniel Smith Industries Equipment Resources.
