To further strengthen our team in Basel we have an immediate opening for a
Project Engineer customized products and services (m/w)
Major responsibilities of the position
Lead and coordinate cross functional product development projects in line with internal processes.
Develop new products, clinical concepts and digital workfl ows for dental applications in cooperation with brand management, sales and customers.
Translate user needs and input from markets into technical specifi cations.
Try-storming of new ideas, concepts, and applications in an agile approach.
Creating digital libraries for dental CAD/CAM systems.
Support evaluation of new technologies, software applications and digital workfl ows.
Support market intelligence and bench- marking of competitive concepts and workfl ows.
Ensure communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Establish documents according to the product development process, maintain DHF.
Design models and establish technical drawings as well as 3D graphics.
Evaluate technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
Establish and coordinate verifi cation and validation activities.
Support production during implementation.
Ensure continuous technical product surveillance.
Support brand managers, education and customer service teams in technical questions.
Traveling activity (max. 20%)
Your qualifi cations and skillsBachelor’s degree in mechanical
engineering, bioengineering, or related fi eld of study.
Several years (5+) experience in development of medical device products, preferably within the dental fi eld, especially digital dentistry
Proven track record in managing complex international projects
Experienced in CAD/CAM process, knowledge of 3D printing a plus
Thorough knowledge of product deve- lopment, manufacturing and testing
Knowledge of specifi c development tools (e.g. FMEA, design of experiments, tolerance analysis, analysis of mech- anical properties, statistical analysis)
Sound knowledge of standards and regulations (MDR, FDA, ISO)
Profound knowledge in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
Profi ciency in MS Offi ce, knowledge of SAP a plus
Eff ective and convincing communication skills, both verbally and in writing, fl uent in English and German. Additional languages are a plus
