2. Works closely with annual giving and University leadership across the campus, as well as with faculty and staff to synthesize the interests and philanthropic capabilities of alumni and friends of the University in order to increase the level of giving and the number of annual donors to the University.

3. Assesses donor behavior, acquisition rates, retention rates, etc. Segments audiences in order to maximize unrestricted support for the University. Works with Information Technology to develop, evaluate, and implement management information systems and uses these systems to synthesize data and draw conclusions.

4. Develops and manages relationships with donors, volunteers, and top administrators. 5. Performs other related work as needed.

Collaborates with communications staff to design annual, strategic communications, solicitations, create newsletters, senior class campaign materials, volunteer and staff training presentations, and marketing plans tailored to specific audiences in order to maximize fundraising effectiveness, annual support and engagement from these audiences.

2. Works closely with annual giving, University leadership, faculty and staff across campus to synthesize the interests and philanthropic capabilities of alumni and friends of the University in order to increase the level of giving and the number of annual donors to the University.

Responsibilities

1. Develops stewardship plans for special projects that require coordination with other development professionals from across the University. Manages a team of professionals responsible for University-wide stewardship endeavors, including donor recognition activities and other types of stewardship activities. Identifies cues from donors that indicate the most effective way to steward them.

2. Ensures that gifts are reported on accurately. Prepares detailed narratives and financial portfolios, which describe in non-technical terms complicated scientific and technical research being carried out at the University for the highest-level donors. Coordinate materials with applicable development staff.

3. Creates and implements new programs to recognize, steward, and thank donors. Develops donor recognition strategies and applies resources of the larger team to meet donor needs.

4. Sets priorities for short-term and long term projects, based on departmental goals. 5. Performs other related work as needed.

4. Manages gift and records systems. Implements controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of gift information. 5. Performs other related work as needed.
