JKR’s “P10 Road Upgrading Project from Batu Maung to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah”.

PENANG, Monday (29/1/2018): The on-going JKR road upgrading project from Batu Maung to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah requires the diversion of an existing 600mm MS (mild steel) water pipeline along Jalan Permatang Damar Laut on 3/2/2018. Three (3) major pipe connections have been scheduled along Jalan Permatang Damar Laut. Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP) has to temporarily “shut down” the 600mm MS water supply pipeline in the area. The pipeline shutdown will cause a 12-hour scheduled water supply interruption, and consumers in the following areas are kindly advised to store sufficient water for use from 9.00am – 9.00pm on 3/2/2018:

Please refer to the map in ‘Appendix A’ that shows all affected areas. This scheduled water supply interruption will affect a total of 5,500 people. However, water supply to the Penang International Airport and the Bayan Lepas Free Trade Zone areas will not be affected. Kindly note that these pipe diversion works are required to facilitate the on-going JKR project. PBAPP’s water supply pipeline must be safely diverted to prevent mishaps and ensure continuous good water supply. Please remember to store sufficient water for use from 9.00am – 9.00pm on Saturday, 3/2/2018. PBAPP deeply regrets any inconvenience caused. Thank You. Dato’ Ir.
