About us

Vocational school owned by the Ministry of Education and Research ofEstonia.

Only vocational school in Jrva County.There are ~ 1200 students, 67 teachers in Jrva County Vocational

Training Centre;Was established by merging Tri Technical and Agricultural

School and Paide Vocational Secondary School on September 1,2008. However the school s history started in1924.

Our school motto isLEARNING IS A MATTER OF THE HEART!Jrva County Vocational Training Centre is an educational institute that

provides initial and additional vocational training and retraining in widearea of specialties. We have very strong ties with many local companies.

We have the only vocational school in Estonia that provides roadconstruction training and equine management and production.

Our school has participated in several projects since 2006.

On the Basis of Basic Education

Computers and Computer Networks (3,5 y) this program provides a goodknowledge and practical skills of hardware, software and databases.

Warehouse Keeper (3 y) - training in employment positions in different retail andwholesale warehouses, department stores, custom bureaus and logistics centers.

Opportunity to get licensed as Forklift Operator.Logistics Client Services Assistant (3 y) knowledge and practical skills for

warehousing are mastered in information technology in warehouses, warehouseservices, and client service. Graduates are expected to work as mid-levelspecialists in the field of transportation services.

Freight Forwarding (3 y) certifies workers in the field of transportationservices, distribution warehouses, wholesale warehouses and customs bonds.Professions after graduation include working as a freight forwarder, warehouseoperator, or logistics services. Opportunity to get licensed as a commercial driver.

Household Economy and Catering (3 y) students gain knowledge and skillsin food preparation, including pastry products, how to organize kitchen work andproper customer service. Opportunity to for advanced training in food hygiene,with special offerings of sewing and looming, among other options.

Cleaning Services (3 y)

gain knowledge in the proper use of cleaningequipment and detergents, learn operating cleaning tools and work planning.Opportunity for special training as cooks or waiters.

Agriculture (3,5 y) - knowledge of growing plants and raising animals, all kindof agricultural machinery and farm equipment including introduction of agricultural

techniques. This program licenses in B-, C1-, R and T-category. Opportunity tobe certified as a pesticide or deforester worker. After the graduation exam there isan opportunity to take the vocational examination.

Equine Management and Production (3 y) - this specialty is taughtONLY in Jrva County Vocational Training Centre. This program providesknowledge and skills in the healthcare, maintenance and feeding of horses,as well as different stable operations. Students learn basic skills andtechniques in horse riding, and gain in-depth knowledge of stable

construction, blacksmithing and horse tourism.Car Technician (3,5 y) this program educations in the assembly of cars

and trucks, work principles, service and maintenance, technologydiagnostics and damage assessment. License of B-category provided at theschools cost.

Rudimentary Carpentry (3 y) good knowledge and skills inconstructing different wooden buildings and knowing the essentials ofdifferent kinds of wood, plastering techniques, tile fitting and erecting dryplaster structures.

Construction of Stone and Concrete Buildings (3 y) in depth knowledge ofmasonry, concrete works, woodworks, stucco works and tile fittings.

Restorer of Wooden and Stone Buildings (3 y) - restoration is a higher levelof a construction. Restorers will learn the foundations of both modern and historicconstruction techniques. In addition to gaining the usual construction skills, thisprogram also gives lessons on special historic stucco and plasterworks, as well asthe basic principles of log home construction, environmental friendly constructionand effective construction with resources are introduced.

Road Construction (3 y) - this program is ONLY taught in Jrva CountyVocational Training Centre. Road construction and operation of small and heavyequipment. Graduates will gain a drivers license for cars, small trucks and lightmachinery.

Electrician (3 y) fitting electrical components and wires for the indoorsand outdoors.

On the basis of secondary education

Shop Assistance/ Sales Management (2 y) Study of economics with specialemphasis in sales management, banking statements, organizational management,and marketing.

Freight forwarding (1 y) basic knowledge and practical skills in the field of

transportation services. Possible professions after graduation would be freightforwarder, warehouse operator, or logistics services.

Handling goods (1 y) - knowledge of warehousing and warehouse equipment.Graduates can work in different fields of transportation services. Opportunity to belicensed as a forklift operator.

Manager of cleaning services (1 y) organizing and operating cleaning workand proper use of cleaning equipment. Opportunity to gain a drivers license duringthis course.
