Procedures for Festival Fellowship Applicants Thank you for your interest in the Festival Fellowships for young musicians attending the North American Jewish Choral Festival. We are happy to encourage talented young people who are eager to take a leadership role in the field of Jewish choral music to be with us July 7-11, 2019. In order to be considered for a Festival Fellowship, please provide us with the following information. 1. Your resume, including all contact information (e-mail, cell phone, snail mail addresses) your academic background – college attendance and major your music background : Your voice part and level of sight-singing ability choirs with whom you’ve sung, under what conductors, and including a list of the three most challenging pieces you’ve performed with each Any additional musical skills you may possess (conducting experience, instruments you play, composing/arranging skills, etc.) your Jewish education (if any), including your ability to read and/or speak Hebrew 2. A statement of your future goals. What do you hope to achieve in the field of Jewish music, in what setting(s)? 3. An audio recording (via mp3 or YouTube video) that demonstrates your musical talents. All applicants should prepare a performance that demonstrates vocal range and singing ability. If you are a conductor, please provide a video recording of your conducting technique (a rehearsal recording is fine); in the absence of a video, please provide an audio recording (preferably via mp3) of your ensemble. If you are a composer or arranger, please send copies of music you have written/arranged (and audio recordings, if available). You may also feel free to include a recording that demonstrates any instrumental ability you have. 4. A list of at least two music professionals who can comment on your musical ability and promise
