We read the Bible to hear about all of God’s people.

Today we will hear a story about how Jesus healed two men who were blind.

I wonder, what does blind mean?

Listen for how Jesus healed the men.

Read the story:Two men who were blind lived in a town called Jericho. Every day they would sit by the side of the road. The road was always busy with people walking to and from Jericho. They hoped that people would notice them and give them a few coins. Then they could buy food.

I wonder, how many coins would they need to buy food?One day, the two men heard the footsteps of many people walking down the road. They could tell that a huge crowd was coming. They knew that Jesus was coming. The two men began to call out, “Jesus, Son of David, look at us. Help us!”Jesus stopped right in front of them and asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”The two men answered Jesus: “Lord, we want to see.” Jesus touched their eyes.They blinked. Colors swirled all around them. Then all at once they could see everything.

I wonder, what did they see first?They looked at Jesus and cried out their thanks. The two men followed Jesus for the rest of their lives. And all God’s people say, Amen!

I wonder, how did the two men feel after Jesus helped them see?
