Jerry SokolJerry Sokol is a partner with the international law firm McDermott Will & Emery where he is based in thefirm’sMiami office. Jerry is a corporate attorney who deals primarily with health care transactions.

His merger and acquisition activity is extensive and covers many industries, but as a Board CertifiedHealthcare Attorney, he is an expert at handling healthcare transactions across the entire country. He isparticularly adept at private equity transactions with healthcare companies, and has a special nicherepresenting Ambulatory Surgery Centers (“ASC”) and ASC Management Companies.

In addition to specializing in transactions, Jerry assists healthcare clients defend against governmentalinvestigations, including whistle blower/qui tam cases. Having many former US attorneys who worked inhealthcare fraud, as well as technical regulatory experts, on his team, enables Jerry to handle these “betthe company” representations at the highest level and position his clients well to obtain the best results.
