Jeremiah C. Barber Scholarship Campaign Launched Bryant Alumni Council Presi- dent Raymond H. Hawksley an- nounces that at its November meeting the Council voted to launch a Jeremiah C. Barber Schol- arship Fund Campaign with a goal of $3,000. Jeremiah C. Barber was associated with Bryant for fifty-one years. Affectionately known as "Jerry", he taught Law and was Dean of Students. He helped innumerable young people with a combination of fatherly benevolence and strict adherence to the highest business principles. This fund will be administered solely by the Alumni. Chairman of the Barber Schol- arship Fund Committee is Ray- mond W. Hartley. Ray operates an advertising agency with offices at 255 Main Street, Pawtucket. Contributions from $1.00 to $10.00 are solicited-see the last page of the Bulletin. The names of all contributors will be printed in the May Home- coming Program. THOMAS R. Formed At an organizational meeting in

the Henry L. J a,cobs library on December 6, 1955, Thomas R. Grant '51 of 90 Centre Street, Pawtucket was elected President of the Bryant College Alumni Club of Pawtucket, Rhod·e Island.

Other officers elected are Vice President, Miss Dorothy L. Ros­tron '49, 30 Gilmore Street, Paw­tucket; Secretary, Mr. Stanley J. Wojtowicz '48, 602 Cottage Street, Pawtucket; Treasurer, Mr. Hugh A. Dunlap, Jr. '55, 473 Armistice Blvd., Pawtucket. Guest speaker was Professor Walt·er D. Harris of the Bryant faculty.

N ext general meeting will be on Wednesday, March 21 at 8 p.m. at the Polish National Home, 927 Central A venue, Pawtucket. All Blackstone Valley area graduates are cordially invited.

The Club has filed application for a non-profit corporation char­ter.

Cranston-Warwick Alumni Club Formed

Anthony S. Stasio '50, 598 Lau­rel Hill Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island was elected president of the Bryant Alumni Club of Cranston­Warwick a t the organizational meeting on November 15, 1955.

The other officers elected are as follows: Vice President, Robert B. Abram '50, 59 Ithaca Street, War­wick; Secretary, Miss Mary C. Mancini '41, 868 Atwood Avenue, Cranston; Treasurer, Miss Nancy Galvin '21, 97 Poplar Drive, Gar­den City, Cranston; Program Chairman, Delbert S. Connor '50, 26 Lufkin Street, Warwick. Miss Norma Slocum '52 acted as S·ecre­tary pro tern.

Guest speaker was Dean Elmer C. Wilbur of Bryant College who traced the development of the In­stitution from its early days.

A general meeting was held on January 17 at the Garden City Recreation Hall in Cranston.

Prof. Priscilla M. Moulton

Professor Priscilla M. Moulton is Assistant to Dr. Henry L. Ja­cobs and Supervisor of Secretarial Studies at Bryant College. Born in Lewiston, Maine, Miss Moulton graduated from the Lewiston High School and attended the Au­burn Maine School of Commerce for three years. She then taught business subjects for five years at the Edward Little High School iTt Auburn, Maine. She received her­Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education from Boston Uni­versity in 1947 and 1948 respec­tively.

While attending Boston Univer­sity, Miss Moulton worked as Graduate Assistant to the Chair­man of the Business Education Department. She has taught ex­tension and summer courses at Boston University and at Columbia University. She is a member of Pi Lambda Theta and Delta Pi Ep­silon, both national honorary fra­ternities. She is Membership Chairman for the state of Rhode Island of the United Business Edu­cation Association (the National department of N.E.A.) and of the Eastern Business Teachers Associ~ ation. She is a past Treasurer of the Providence Plantations Branch of the American Association of University Women.

Miss Moulton has brought to the college some distinguished speak­ers including the heads of the busi­ness education departments of Bos­ton University, Columbia Univer­sity, and New York University. She is also responsible for visits to Bryant of the leading experts in the field of shorthand and type­writing. She conducts a "Job Clinic" for secretaries in which prominent business executives visit the college every spring to discuss with students the qualifications emphasized by businessmen as be­ing the most desirable in new em­ployees.

She has supervised IBM work­shops in which business teachers of Rhode Island high schools learn how to operate the electric type­w r i tel'. Miss Moulton also arranges and attends to the details of many College social functions including the annual Mother­Daughter Tea.

The former Mrs. Evelyn Cummings '34 now Mrs. Umberto Stanghellini, of River­side, R. 1., was ap­pointed Secretary of the Bryant Alumni Council replacing Mrs. Thomas J. Hoey of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, who has served as Secretary since the formation of the Council. Mrs. Hoey was given a vote of thanks. Mrs. Stanghellini main­tains. her ow_n ~lip; cover business.
