ETBs have databases of Learners that have completed training in Hospitality and Tourism
When employers are looking for staff , contact the ETB who in turn can discuss needs- i.e. Tutor/Instructor Chefs contact Head Chef get the profile of person and instructor matches the skill from the current cohort of Learners that are training. Different level of skills in classes, it’s important that we know the business product to match skills to best of ability, don’t set Learner up for failure
Jobs can be advertised internally on Campus
Jobs can be sent out to all instructors who give the information to classes
ETBs are currently training and have learners finishing in May (can advertise jobs before Learners finish this year)
ETBs are positively supporting Careers in Tourism and promote i.e. Pathways Training in Careers, lunches provided, parking, leisure centre memberships, upskilling courses when on the job, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, 70% of promotions are with the currentpool of staff give this as examples of what ETBs are saying
Open days and Information days in conjunction with the local DSP to recruit from the unemployed
